So Simon Calder {travel writer} would take up {as it stands on here at this time} two/three persons {one that admits not being the most honest with an apology in the past to get back on TA}. I somehow do not think so.
You must know yourself as a member of TA that it does not take much for some people to cause trouble and I am sure that SC would far sooner advise {after testing} a hotel/destination than take up petty squabbles between poster on any forum and the company itself.
I have no idea if Simon Calder would get involved.
Actually, we have no idea how many people have had their account blocked.
I do know that this is not the only thread on MSE so maybe it's more than two/three persons.
And of course, not every member of TA posts on MSE.
Do you have any positive advice to offer?0 -

No, and by reading your replies neither do you. The accounts have been blocked, there are no replies to emails to anyone at TA and TA will not tell a poster or anyone else why they have been blocked so this thread could go on for years without any outcome being sorted. I have said my piece regarding the whole question and will just leave it at that.:wave:0 -

You're wrong.
At least I offered a potential way forward.
You don't have to agree with my suggestion or believe it will work.
And if you read this thread and others in the same vein, it's NOT about 'petty squabbles' between posters & TA.
Most people say they have no idea why their account has been disabled.
Only one MSE member has said he got into a spat with other posters on TA.
And if this thread goes on for years, so what?0 -

It's the bullying clique on the TA Tunisia Forum that got me the boot.
Can you post a link so we can have a look?0 -

Because it will not solve the OPs' problem. Nobody on here {be it members of TA or not} knows how to get TA to answer the question as to why the posters had the accounts blocked.
I have people I know on the forum I use that {as DEs'} have been removed and when asking TA why this was done had no reply.
It is their own website and they can pick and choose for whatever reason to remove any poster they choose and no one has any come back with them.We can all try and come up with ways to find out but I do believe that TA do not have to give any reason at all {not unlike a firm getting rid of you the same if you have worked for them less than two years}
When you hit a strong brick wall with no way forward the best thing to do is back away and find somewhere new,do not waste time trying to chip it away. TA will not budge IMO just except it and move on.0 -
But it's not your call to say people should accept it and move on.
If people want to discuss it further then they are perfectly entitled to do so on this public forum.
Of course, you've said YOUR piece, you could always just leave it at that. :cool:0 -

I COULD but being a cankerous person I doubt if I will and as you correctly point out it is an open forum so as long as I stick to the forum rules I think my posts would be excepted unless the forum members take a leaf out of TAs' book0 -

It was you who posted that you were going to 'leave it at that'.
Not my suggestion at all.
By all means, continue being cankerous (sic)
, it matters not one jot to me.
I am sure your posts will be excepted (sic) by other posters.0 -
@ Pollycat and others
I MAY be a cankerous person but as a DE for one of the forums on TA I have sent a message to the help section of TA asking about this problem. The info has been passed over and they say that I SHOULD receive a reply in 3 to 5 days.
If I get a reply I will let you know what TA are saying, I do not know if it will help but all I can do is try for you.0 -

Well now, London50, that really IS a helpful post.
For the record, it was you who said you were. 'Cankerous'.
Do you mean cantankerous, by any chance?
Will be interested to read the response you get from TA.0
