Trip Advisor disabled my account and I cannot contact them

it's kaufer@tripadvisor.comThat is very useful but does anyone have an E Mail address for Stephen Kaufer
And he is on Twitter too @kaufer:beer:0 -
I have written on another thread about Trip Advisor disabling my account So it seems this is a common issue that is covered in a number of places. I still cannot see on any of them who at Trip Advisor actually makes the decision to disable reviewers accounts. Can anybody please answer this specific question .Or has somebody had a response from TA informing why their account was disabled. Thank you0

There seems no "Rhyme or Reason" for Trip Advisor blocking accounts. It would appear it is done at random. Friends who live down the road had their account suddenly blocked and they had not written/submitted a review for 3 months previously. Out TA is still active but we are very reluctant to submit any review in case our account and IP address is blocked. The question that is constantly asked and as far as we can see no one has come up with an answer yet is Who In Trip Advisor takes the decision to block an account!!!0

I'm a long-standing member of TA.
I post on a number of different forums and also write reviews.
A lot of the reviews I post are positive but I have done the odd negative one.
My account is still OK.
I wonder if it happens when a hotel or restaurant complains about a review.
TwoSeniorCitizen's post is curious, I wonder why their friends' account was blocked.
Could it be some sort of glitch that is picking accounts at random?
Someone suggested contacting Simon Calder, I think that may be a good idea for those people who's account has been blocked.
Any news, PompeyPete?0 -

But, unlike the first two e-mails I sent to TA which bounced back as undeliverable, at least the one I sent to Mr Kaufer got through to somebody.
Maybe the TA people are Saints fans...?
Hope you get it sorted soon PP. x0 -

I'm an exiled Lancastrian, still serving my sentence.
I like your Location 'The Land that Time Forgot'.
I hail from 'The Town that Time Forgot', sunny Morecambe.
My footballing wish came true last season.
League Two, 15 August 2013, Portsmouth v Morecambe.
The biggest game Fratton Park's had in years.:beer:0 -

Who won? I am afraid I support Saints (well, tolerate them, is perhaps more honest) and Aldershot (unlike Saints, I can afford to watch those games) - but I'm a girlie, so what do I know?!

It Is all very nice the idle chit chat, but everyone seems to disregard the question of whom at Trip Advisor authorises the blocking/disabling of contributors accounts. Is this an unknown. Also the idea of contacting Simon Calder on this issue is a good one but what are the chances of him even reading it let alone taking it up. Pretty slim I guess.0

Maybe 'all this idle chit-chat' is because nobody knows who at TA authorises account disabling/blocking.
I'm sure if anyone who has posted on this thread knew the answer, they would have posted to that effect.
As for the Simon Calder suggestion, if it were my TA account that had been disabled, I would give it a try.
But if you don't think it's worth bothering.......0
