OH has no clue for my birthday present!

I'm awesome at buying presents. I always leave it to the last minute and spend about 10 mins buying the presents. However people always say 'this is perfect, you must have spent ages looking for this'. Once I bought a necklace for my girlfriend and her response was 'You got me my birthstone, you put so much thought into this'. Yes, of course I did.
It's quite a useful skill to have!
I had a boyfriend like this once, except he wasn't so good at 'getting it right' - instead he just threw extreme amounts of money at it and hoped for the best.
Did get a lovely Gucci watch for Christmas one year though. :rotfl:

You mentioned watches, not sure if this is your thing but Olivia Burton watches are great and affordable http://www.oliviaburton.com/
I got a stunning watch for my 21st but wondering if it'd be too odd to buy myself a back up OB one?!

Haha it is hard being the more thoughtful sex isn't it?
I will love whatever I get because I know it's hard for him to buy presents for people. He only properly started buying presents for his family when I made him do it. Before then you would be lucky if you got a card!
I think your OH and mine are one and the same  :rotfl:
His mum now LOVES getting presents at birthdays and Christmas :rotfl:

I don't really wear watches (not my style) but they are really nice.
He didn't really approve when I told him I wanted an engagement ring :rotfl:Our Rainbow Twins born 17th April 2016

I think I'm now his dad's favourite person as I bake him a Christmas cake every year now and he loves it.

My DH, although very generous, is often fearful of getting the wrong gift - my face will give away disappointment :-)
So, I either take him to the jewellers for example (did that this year for my special birthday) and picked out 4 items I really liked and left him to it to choose. For Xmas or a normal birthday, I go onto a few websites, pick out 4 or 5 things I would be happy to get and send him the links, or I tell my DD's and they tell him. This method doesn't have romance all over it but he feels he has chosen the perfect present and I'm not disappointed, works well for us.
Ooh, hope no-one thinks I'm a brat, I'm picky & very fortunate but. to a brat :-)0 -
Why don't you come to an agreement of maybe doing hotels for birthdays. He can choose somewhere to take you with dinner included - plenty of deals on Groupon/Living Social, etc.
Will always be a surprise, and you'll both benefit and it's always good to get away together
I can't think of nicer presents! Save the gifts for Christmas.

If you don't need anything, maybe you could plan a special day, or evening, out together, maybe even a weekend away to somewhere neither of you have visited before. From Starrystarrynight to Starrystarrynight1 and now I'm back...don't have a clue how!0

Be honest with him like you have with us.
Tell him you're sad you aren't going to spend your birthday together, so the best present he can get you is his time. You'd love for him to arrange a day/weekend where you get him all to yourself. You could go out for the day, you could stay in for the day
, you could spend a fortune or you could do freebies. Just tell him you want him to arrange the time and the day where you can celebrate with him.
Very open for him to arrange, very enjoyable with a massive surprise for you as you don't know what you're going to get.Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?
