Oscardrell, as the mother of a uni student, dare I point out, that you should at least make her come and read this thread if she hasn't already, and if any such incident were to happen again, she come here and deal with it herself. At 20, she really should be old enough to deal with the consequences (even unfair consequences) of such events. I appreciate you are being supportive, but also sometimes we need to let go of those reins!

Cheers Dee, totally aggre, I'm just trying to help her(prob too much I know..!) well it's Aug 13, deadline was yesterday and no contact yet.. Will let you know...

Yep there are lessons even the brightest young thing doesn't know. My 20 yr old clever Scientist student DD was thrilled today when a fairly stroppy, formal resignation letter (an old fashioned letter that I helped her write and reminded her to sign as she didn't know you had to) had the desired effect and got her finally paid for the shift the pub had 'forgotten' to pay her for since April!

My DS - another student at a fairly top Uni - also said no-one teaches them how to write a letter these days which is daft! Sometimes that's the way forward.

Learning about scams is another important life experience and none of us posters (Mums!) here want your DD to pay money to this bunch of scumbags, oscardrell. :)
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Don't forget there are some Dads posting here too. ;)
  • Premier Parking Logistics is actually the individual that was behind the notorious Midway Parks

    Google : Walton Wilkins

They used to buy small patches of land, put up a sign, park a car in front of it and instantly clamp anyone unfortunate enough to park alongside

IIRC there were also stories that they seized cars they liked, applied to DVLA for a new logbook and sold them through a dubious garage

DVLA would reject owner protests using the logic that a logbook doesn't prove ownership and a company in possession of a vehicle is by definition keeping it

The chances that it would go near a court are zero
  • Not heard from them for a few weeks now......! :j
  • Update as of Tuesday 10th December 2014.
Me and my boss have both had PCN fines on our windows by Premier Parking Logistics.
After researching this forum and checking on the British Parking approved operators I can confirm that they are a fraudulent company and it is ran by the crook Walton Wilkins who ran a clamping scam previously.

They CANNOT contact the DVLA to obtain your details so unless you contact them with any of your details you will never hear from them.

If you like many others have panicked and wrote to them as this is the only way you can appeal on the PCN. If they do have your address then they will issue a false solicitors letter from their Debt Collectors Shakespeare.

They will not take you to court but you may get some thugs turn up at your door demanding the money which is totally illegal but it should not get to this stage as they are relying on people panicking and paying them the £85 straight away.

I really hope people stop paying them and making this guy rich.
  • hi guys,

i was in birmingham last night and received a parking ticket fine on my vehicle. the ticket is from PPL premier parking logistics. they are requesting £100 or a reduced amount of £85 are they for real.

I'm quite sure they operate out from the big peg building in the jewellery quarter in birmingham.

has anyone dealt with this cowboy outfit before?

Your best bet (to start with) is to start your own thread, so that you get the best advice in your own case.

Well all I really thought this had gone way but it turns out the PPL have now sold the debt on. A company called MIL Collections has wrote to her today explaining that they have bought the debt and that she has 14 days to pay or they will take her to the small claims court. Any advice please...!!!
