premier parking logistics... help

The are no BPA or IPC logos on their website.
It's a real shame the OP appealed before waiting for a NTK as they would not have been able to get their details from the DVLA
Website here : http://premierparkinglogistics.co.uk/appeals.htm
It seems. The charge could rise to £150 or more.
This is very much a case I think of let them take me to court and be damned I think there will be too many flaws in their PCNs to get away with it at court.Newbie thread: go to the top of this page and find these words: Main site > MoneySavingExpert.com Forums > Household & Travel > Motoring > Parking Tickets, Fines & Parking. I've just had another look at this Dee and agree this is not a member of any AOS. It's been confused by them using the term Premier Parking Solutions and the fact there's a Premier Parking Solutions (based in Newton Abbot) who are BPA members.
Oscardrell - there is no further appeals process open to you, so you can either pay them (which no one here would recommend) or ignore them and their series of debt collector letters they will send to you until one of two things happen.
1. It all goes quiet and you hear no more, in which case get in with the rest of your life.
2. You receive a Letter Before County Court Claim or MCOL papers.
If 2. above occurs, DO NOT IGNORE IT, come back and we can help you then.

But if you do get an MCOL or something similar, I think there is a fair amount to take to court to beat the charge.
And if it is any consolation. There is no record I can see of Premier Parking Logistics taking anybody to court!Newbie thread: go to the top of this page and find these words: Main site > MoneySavingExpert.com Forums > Household & Travel > Motoring > Parking Tickets, Fines & Parking. Having looked at their website, although they claim to be a company no such company exists, furthermore there's no record of them on the Data Register at the ICO. (I'm sure the ICO would be interested in them, and maybe the Advertising Standards Authority!)
Unless there is a person or persons trading as Premier Parking Logistics, which they are legally required to disclose, I would suggest that there is no legal entity in existence in order to take you to court.
It would be interesting to see what the original car park sign said!0 -
Thanks a lot everyone. I'll speak to my daughter, as you can imagine she is really worried about this. She is a 20 yr old student and is getting anxious that this may affect her credit rating if it gets to court.
Do you think this company is serious..? Or do we go to court and face up to these bullying idiots?0 -
Please, please read the posts that people have posted since they have discovered the real name of the PPC.
Ignore everything you get from them until you get anything from the courts or MCOL.
That's it.0 -
Here's the process for getting a CCJ, just so as you (and your daughter) know. It's one I post up from time to time!
1. You go to court
2. You lose your case
3. The Judge awards costs against you
4. You have 28 days to pay up
5. You fail/forget/refuse to pay the costs awarded against you
6. You receive a CCJ
7. Your credit rating is qualified
8. Potential problems getting credit in future.
A few long steps before the hangman pulls the lever. But all within your own control to avoid.
You're far from anywhere near this. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

And honestly I think you would have so much ammunition if this ever got to court a CCJ is highly unlikely.
And just too confirm, this cannot affect your daughter's credit rating in the slightest unless it went to court. Nor her university degree, or prospects of getting a job!Newbie thread: go to the top of this page and find these words: Main site > MoneySavingExpert.com Forums > Household & Travel > Motoring > Parking Tickets, Fines & Parking. NOW - get real! If they tried court these jokers would be EASY to beat. DON'T let her pay! Jeez they only set up their payment portal this year:
http://www.payppl.co.uk/cgi-bin/tickit_payonline.cgi
As they used a ticket that looked like it was from another firm (the placing of the word 'Solutions' and the choice of name does mimic Premier Parking Solutions, yes) then report them to Trading Standards and your MP, and send the details to the Daily Mail to show readers what NOT to do with a PCN from a firm who could not have got her details!
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2713646/We-curb-parking-cowboys-says-Cabinet-Minister-Victory-Mail-campaign-official-probe-launched-bully-boys.html
There are parking cowboy firms but this lot take the biscuit. You really MUST stop taking these chancers so seriously and have a little chat with your DD about not giving name & address to a random firm ever again, just because they've copied a PCN. The only PCNs that can 'fine' you are from the Council, certain Train Operators, or the Police. Wise up - don't compound the error of handing over the name and address, by actually sending the idiots any money!
She will get letters - big deal - just letters because they are thrilled that someone has appealed and given them an address, and they hope the person is mug enough to send them money too. There is no bailiff possible, nor CCJ (without losing in court and then refusing to pay, LOL! Won't happen!). There's no effect on credit rating, look at these links and show your DD:

There is no debt and nothing to chase. Treat this as a learning exercise.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

We do love it when you say it as it is Coupon-Mad!
On a final parental note (and please do not take this too harshly)
Oscardrell, as the mother of a uni student, dare I point out, that you should at least make her come and read this thread if she hasn't already, and if any such incident were to happen again, she come here and deal with it herself. At 20, she really should be old enough to deal with the consequences (even unfair consequences) of such events. I appreciate you are being supportive, but also sometimes we need to let go of those reins!Newbie thread: go to the top of this page and find these words: Main site > MoneySavingExpert.com Forums > Household & Travel > Motoring > Parking Tickets, Fines & Parking.
