premier parking logistics... help

Hi,
Hope someone has dealt with these before. Premier Parking Solutions, also maybe known as Parking Management solutions ( info on the window sticker / fine).

Background

My daughter parked her car in usual car park and paid the usual fee ( she parked there 2 weeks prev). Car park is private. No sign indicating fee increase of 50p. Then fine (window sticker) issued next day.

Fine was originally 85 and has now incrased with late payment and 'fees' to 150!!

We appealed direct to them and stated that there was no sign indicating an increase. They produced a dated photo of the increased costs ( stuck on the tarrif board in the car park at the ticket machine) of the day before my daughter bought the parking ticket and also a dated photo the date the fine was issued. They did not provide one for the day she actualky parked there..

The basis of the appeal there was no sign indicating an increase the day she parked
They will not accept this and have now given her 2 days before they hand it over to their solicitors

Please get a grip and stop offering them money - get wise about this scam. Please don't tell us you got a POPLA code and didn't use it?
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

They will not be handing it over to solicitors. They will be handing it over to toothless debt collectors, which will result in a spate of increasingly threatening but ultimately powerless pieces of paper.

If you have a POPLA code and 2 days left, it is time to get your finger out and get an appeal in. You will win at POPLA if youngest there.

If they haven't issued you with. POPLA code, then you need to demand one.

its not a fine either, so please dont use the f word ;)

its a speculative invoice masquerading as a PCN , basically demanding money with menaces

it also appears they they have broken the BPA CoP by not applying the correct criteria and notices for increased payment charges notifications and leeway following such increases

its not a genuine pre-estimate of loss either , the loss was 50 pence

if they rejected your appeal, then they should have issued a popla code, so check the rejection letter for this popla 10 digit code

as mentioned above, it will go to debt collectors, not solicitors - empty rhetoric designed to intimidate

if you cannot deal with this yourself, and if you have a valid popla code that is still "in time" , then check parkingticketappeals website and get the job done for £16 , saving yourself a minimum of £24 compared to your £40 offer, even more to their stupid and exorbitant demands for money (with menaces)

Is there no end to these peoples' lies? Here is a list of members of the BPA Ltd. Approved Operator Scheme:

    http://www.britishparking.co.uk/Approved-Operators

It's in alphabetical order so you'll find PPS about two-thirds down. Members of the AOS must offer PoPLA.

Demand a PoPLA code from them, and complain to the BPA Ltd. about their refusal to provide one already.

Barrie Douglass who runs this odious little tin-pot outfit is a nasty piece of work. Do not give in to bullies.

Relax and read here http://www.popla.org.uk/AnnualReport.htm PRE ESTIMATE OF LOSS Page 19

...................However, genuine pre-estimate of loss means just that. It is an estimate of the loss which might reasonably be suffered, made before the breach occurred, rather than a calculation of the actual loss suffered made afterwards
    .......................

and lots more in the same section.

    Still not supplied popla code.

Recieved letter from their solicitors today. Stating " as a result of your failure to satisfy your legal obligations, we have been instructed to issue court proceedings for recovery unless payment in full in cleared funds is recieved from you by 12 August"..

Its also gone up to £165! !!

    What next?
