£1 for me, had to withdraw £50 from the joint account to pay for caravan valet which was £48, and we picked it up too early to pay by card, grrr we picked it up when they told us to at 08:00 so had to get cash out and had £2 left over so we decided to have £1 each for our pots.

Husbands pot is not sealed and he raids it all the time, its a box with a lid, so his £1 will not last the week.

Little man has forgotten about his £4 from Nana so I just put it in his pot.

A crispy 5 er today - I keep thinking about all the things I "want" and could probably afford with my tin (once its contents are revealed) but then its been so rewarding saving it I don't want to waste that.

Why not bank the money to start with until you see something you really want, and then be guilt free when you take the money out of the bank and buy whatever it is knowing that you have already saved for it?

Oooooh that was a crafty move, moohound...very wise though! ;) Re your DH's pot - nail the ruddy thing shut next year!!

What's up with your DH, jakes-mum, he didn't ought to be allowing young Jake to forget you at Mothers Day! Jake shouldn't need any reminders either!!! They'll both grow up one day, hopefully.

Glad to hear things are better for you nowadays, EMMAP. :)

I have to agree with your bottom line, Lynsey, the best way got it.

Now that is a real goodwill gesture, Kerry, marvellous! :D

Saver-upper, you sound so deliriously happy at events within the family and I couldn't be more delighted for you. :j .....at news of the £10er found and potted too!!! :T

Very wise, 32b3, DH & I always do, then it's there for a holiday etc instead of having to worry about it.

£1 in the pot after I took it out of the L*idl trolley earlier. DH asked where it was, I said I gave it to a poor soul who looked in need! :rotfl: He called me something quite rude! ;)

Keep potting well, proud potters, it's getting closer.....exactly 9 weeks to go!! forums.moneysavingexpert.com
Have a lovely evening and Sunday, folks, and, keep filling those pots! forums.moneysavingexpert.com:D

  • jakes-mum and Sue - Thanks. Got £75 in total, but had to buy new saucepans from M&S. Had to get some new ones as we had the other ones for a very long time.

Saver-upper - Am pleased for you.

Potted £6.53. Extra money from yesterday and 2p of that I found on my local theatre floor.

£2.01 for me today, I bought lunch out after swimming and my mum just had a coffee ( she was hungover :) ) and she insisted on giving me the £2 for her coffee, I have no idea where the 1p came from and its really bugging me, I normally know what every penny was spent on and exactly what is in my purse.

  • Hey x-raphael-xx,
I have been meaning to tell you.....

I went to the movies with the kids last week, and there is a Ninja turtle movie coming to the cinemas (sorry, don't remember when).I was sitting in the cinema, thinking "I must remember to tell x-raphael-xx."

Potted £4.16 today. For about a week I have had a pile of coins(found around the house over the course of about a week) on my 5y DD's chest of drawers, waiting to pot.Went to add to it today, and the pile was gone!!.It had been there when I went to bed last night thinking.gif.Thought it might have been knocked off-looked on floor at the side of chest of drawers.Nope.Hours later,I was putting daughter's washing away, and the little tyke had put them in her bottom drawer :rotfl:.All present and correct.Quickly potted before she found them again:p.

Thank you everyone for your lovely wishes since I posted yesterday.Such a relief.Life is good.
