Thanks a lot folks.Hi everyone. I hope you've all had a lovely weekend and a good Monday. Keep saving hard as we've not got much longer to go!!!! :jjakes-mum wrote:Just incase anyone missed it, remember to declare ALL your savings on count up day not just what you've saved since your last banking as Sue doesn't have access to sparkys running spreadsheetBless you for that, jakes-mum, I so appreciate your thoughtfulness. I see pot opening day is less than month away which is exciting although part of me wants to keep saving until the tin is full / or until the middle of next year when my OH has a special birthday.

Well I told DH that you all agree with me re the £2 coins and he rolled his eyes at me! See! now this is why he is never left in charge of the sealed pot! The man just doesn't understand the process
Am driving myself mad at the minute as im on the hunt for Christmas tree decorations, but I don't want the usual stuff they bring out year after year in the shops, I want something special. I put a post up on my FB crafty page but no-one had what I wanted, i've had a look on etsy but everything that caught my eye was in america and I worried that as most things I liked were glass, would they get here in one piece etc. I don't want things like beads on wire or sequins in baubles as I could just make those myself, I wanted something truly unique, something that took ages to learn to do and required a natural talent! How do I find this?!?!
Anyway 25p in my pot today, I shall now return to my fruitless search for the thing thats in my head that I can't describe to anyone else :rotfl:SPC No 002 SPC(3) £285/£250 (4) £519.84/£500 (5) £768.32/£500 (6) £911.30/£600 (7) £913.23/£600 (8) £1184.82/£750 (9) £2864.04/£750 (10) £3846.25/£1000 (11) £1779.72/£1000 (12) £1596.55/£1000 (13) £1534.70/£1000 (14) £775.60/£1000 (15) £700.20/£1000 (16) £2081.34/£1000 (17) £1691.15/£1000 (18) £225/£10000 -

Good evening, not posted for a while, but still busy potting. I had to borrow some money from pot the other day, felt soooo guilty so today popped to the bank and going to replace what I borrowed and decided to do a pre opening count up. I am well on the way to my target but definately need to keep up with the potting till opening day. I have decided what Im going to do with my pot money.... roll of drums.... I have opened our Florida holiday savings account, we plan to go to Disneyworld in November 2016 and the pot money is going towards the park tickets for our grandchildren. Looking forward to count up day !!!SPC No. 295 - SPC No10 target £350

This is my first year doing the sealed pot challenge and as I do not use holding pots or post when I pot I really do not have a clue what the total will be.
I have potted a few £10 and £5 note so comfortable at thinking it will be over £100 but how much over I do not have a clue.
Thought about opening a week early for Ideal Home Show visit but if I do that I am likely to spend it so will hang on until opening day for maximum fun factor.

I'm still in!! Life has been manic (isn't it always) so I've been reading but not had much time to post. I managed over £5 last night so I'm sure the total is coming along nicely. Bring on opening day.....I'm not a failure if I don't make it, I'm a success because I :tried!0
