    Morning All!
Hope you all had a great weekend? Mine was fun and a good balance between fun and being productive!
OH managed to get one of the two blinds we bought up... the new ones are much heavier than the old and took a bit longer to fit that planned. Housework ticking over - finally put away the ends of the xmas presents received that had been sitting there in a bag waiting. Saturday night was really good. Screening of our friends film and a few (too many drinks) after. Yesterday was mainly pottering around at home, a bit of paperwork filing, food shopping and then out for dinner in the evening. Meal was pretty MSE... paid £26.76 for a bill of £85.47 thanks to a 50% main meal code and £35 off final bill voucher! Happy days. I also made some potato and leek soup for lunch at work - that is still in the fridge at home :(
Back at work this morning - really feel like I could do with still being asleep but I am sure a couple of coffees, some water and tea will perk me up. Have checked my banking and moved bits n pieces around as required. All quite dull now until 4 weeks Wednesday when we get paid again! lol
Hoping some cashback will become available and I can move that over... well, I need some reason to play with my spreadsheet! :)
Here's to a great week for everyone x

Hey nats, well done on calculating your new salary... I used a website for that which I must say was more accurate than your £6, mine was £1 off! :D
    https://www.thesalarycalculator.co.uk/salary.php ENJOY!
EDIT: I am lazy, if a tool can do something for me, it does just that. I don't believe in making work for myself... haha. I'm like the opposite of you and your spreadsheets, all my money is managed in YNAB another tool. Gimme tools!!! Someone else do the work :)
If I ever touch an excel sheet it's made of 4 billion macros so it does everything for me in future.

I'm back at work also, I was tired until uncle no*ed arrived aka my lovely colleague, now I'm just stressed as he wont shut up, there's no other seats in this office and I have 1000 things to do. Well done on your shop please share your tips for getting super cheap groceries... You know me I never stop eating.

    Have a lovely week :)

lol - that is the website I used! Who knows!??

I LOVE my spreadsheet - I think it is a control thing :o

We are having similar days - I have a 'lovely' lady hot-desking in my office whilst we wait for her new desk to arrive ... and she is slowly driving me round the bend! The hot-desk set up is a bit hit n miss, so having spoken to the computer support people about one thing, she now finds that something else doesn't work... why not check everything and call once? Grrr. Also, she hums and right now even her breathing is irritating! Gosh, I sound mean - good job it is lunchtime, food should lighten my mood (even if it isn't homemade soup!)

Oh, and my saving wasn't on the grocery shop - that was on the meal out (for 4 people)! Food wise we eat well but definitely don't save that much! I always use any vouchers I get (as long as they are for things I need). I try and meal plan, but OH can be a bit like "no, I don't fancy that tonight!" Really? Its food! Eat it! I do try and grab those infamous yellow stickered items where possible - most go in the freezer for a later date! Try and buy seasonal fruit and veg. There's an article on the site about a guy who 'wombles' A5da receipts for money off... not sure scouring a car park for litter is really up your street though! ;)

I had a girl who used to ring IT for absolutely anything also, she worked in admin, we used to do mean things to her like unplug the ethernet from her laptop dock or disconnect the power brick under her desk. Every single time without fail she would call IT, it was hilarious. Once she was moaning about how her PC kept crashing as she tried to print these really important docs, so we went the printer and removed the paper before she got there. There was also a ink refill tray so popped that open too on the back. Everyone else knew how to load paper but she had to ring IT lol.

You don't sound mean to me lol - I've got far worse thoughts to some people in the office.

hahaha I'm totally that guy who says I don't fancy that. Food isn't just food, some food is categorically better than other foods, I know you disagree but oreos and chocolate (inc chocolate desert) beats everything else in the world.

What's this scouring car parks for litter lol? Am I expecting to find free pasties dropped around the ASDA car park or something? :)

    Morning!

Today is going well so far (ssh, don't tell everyone!)

    The sun is shining.
I remembered to bring my soup into work!
I have withdrawn £5.80 from Q.co - on its way to my car fund!

Sometimes it is the simple things right?

Yuck! What a contrast in weather between today and yesterday!
I remembered my soup again!.... but I have left my phone at home! YAY - go me! lol
Dinner last night was 'Diet cola chicken'!! Had seen loads of people mention it in their diaries so found the recipe and gave it a go - I was really surprised at how nice it was! We love food, but do tend to find ourselves rotating the same meals time and time again! New plan is to try something new on a Tuesday, OH's turn next week!

Off to look into how I can make the most out of a spin class - even if I don't like it, I may as well get as much out of it as possible. :)

Pro.Ac is building nicely - over £14 in there now! I will get to £20 and a free pay out in Feb.... I will!

Have read and digest loads of articles on spinning today (another busy day in the office ;) ) and I think tonight I am just going to lose myself in the music and try and empty my brain / stop my brain from wandering. Just wish there wasn't a great big digital clock at the front of the room that tells us how long we have been going for! lol
Left over chilli + jacket potatoes for dinner! That thought will help get me through spin!!

    Mornings!
Just withdrawn £4.74 fro TCB - on its way to my car fund!
Spin/circuits last night was ok - still can't say I enjoy the spin element of the class, but I am ploughing on :)
Diner wasn't chilli + jacket potatoes as OH forgot to buy potatoes! Managed to steer him away from a takeaway by suggesting that we should have chilli + rice instead as it is all already in the house and won't cost us around £20.00!!
Heard back from OH's Plevin complaint - they are paying out £1045 (after tax deductions) WHOOP! That leaves just one in the system that I need to look back at our paperwork for. There are more to go, but are a bit more involved!!
I think that's me up to date for now. x
