Just been gifted a bottle of "artisan water from Norway"! Really? Artisan water? lol The bottle itself is quite nice though! (it wasn't bought from Norway - it was bought in T3sc0!!)
There must be something in the air today as about half an hour ago I was also given a bar of Lindt Lindor chocolate! Much better than water if you ask me!
Currently sipping on a mug of lemon and ginger tea... Not my favourite but it's boosting my fluid intake! ;)

Hey nats, I need to get some of these surveys done! I love chilli and rice :) I think it's nice your OH is on board with the money savings and agrees etc.
You are doing amazingly well re these complaints, I wish I had something to complain about.

If someone got me a bottle of water as a gift they would get a weird luck haha, how do you keep a straight face on that one?

Spin class, grr, I still hate spin lol... It's the one class I really don't get on with. You need a pad for your seats!

    Morning All!
Camz, I also wish I had something to complain about - 8% interest added year on year.... couldn't have got that anywhere else! ;) I know that's not the point, but still! :)
OH on board with money savings? Lets just say he is a lot better than he ever has been.
So, it's Friday!! I do miss weekly pay - In the past, I would have been happily playing with my spreadsheet at this time on a Friday morning. I might spend a bit of time today looking to see if I can squeeze my car loan end date forward a bit!

Working tomorrow, then should really pop round to see my parents! Might even pop my head into my brothers and wind up my niece and nephew for a bit!
I have OH's birthday, the wedding and my Mums b'day looming, so I had better head out on Sunday and get some cards/ gifts etc. I had something lovely in mind for OH's b'day - but as the weather looks like it will be really cold and he is still a bit under the weather we have agreed to do it in a couple of months! He doesn't know what it is!! Possibly early May!
Other than that, I might try and squeeze in a trip to the gym or a run. There's housework to do and both cars are in dire need for a really good wash. I will not be doing that though if it is freezing!

Just logging house-sitting stints for the year...
    6-14th April (10 days)
    22 June - 1st July (10 days)
    possible week in September
    probable 5 days in November
If all the dates happen then that should net me around £450.00 The money from April will go to the car fund (if it is still there) - the rest will go into 'general savings / emergency / holiday pot'. :)

Can you send me your coca cola chicken recipe please? I weirdly really wanna try it. I might hate it as I have a strong dislike for diet coke but we will see... There is a milk chicken recipe by Jamie Oliver which I wanna try also, I drink way too much milk so might as well fuel the addiction a bit more.

    Morning camz,

here is the link to the recipe ...
    https://www.slimmingworld.co.uk/recipes/diet-cola-chicken.aspx

What I liked most was that it didn't taste of cola at all - it just sweetens the dish without the calories! I did add some extra chilli flakes to give it a little kick - I also think a bit of BBQ seasoning could be nice; I'll try that next time! I think it would also work with turkey or pork!

At work this morning - would sooo rather still be asleep. Only been here 29 mins and I'm ready to go home already! Even worse, we have run out of coffee and tea just isn't doing it for me this morning! :(

    Morning All!

YAY to snow - BOO to people driving like they have never seen the stuff before!

As always the weekend went too fast! Managed to catch most of the Rugby though which was good. What a cracking game France v Ireland!

Shopping was successful, more of less. Birthday card for a friend, wedding card and wedding gift purchased! OH insisted on coming with me so didn't manage to get his card.... and I forgot to get my mums, but I've got ages yet for that!
Visited the parentals - always nice to catch up with them. Saw my brother too so that was a bonus. Skipped on my niece and nephew though.
Most of the housework got done. The gym / run didn't happen though! :) Oh well.
Today is shaping up to be an ar5e of a day! And it's only Monday.

Broken sleep last night has left me more grumpy than usual for a Monday! The world is not being kind to me today! Grumpy customers galore and some of my staff being less intelligent than usual! However, I am trying to cheer myself up by monitoring several 'snow trackers'!! :) By the looks of it we are not due any more until tomorrow evening! Bring it on!
Longest snow journey home from work stands at 2.5 hours to travel 10 miles and that was a few years ago now... the main issue being that to get home I have to go up a hill - there are several to choose from but none are fun in snow. The worst thing is that no-one else seems capable of 'driving to the conditions' and everything quickly grinds to a halt!! :(
The plan for tonight is to go through the CC bill with a nice glass of chilled white wine, eat chicken curry which OH will cook and then collapse into bed. Seriously need some Zzzz tonight to prevent me committing murder tomorrow!!!

We barely had any snow here in London. I hope you had a better turn out.
I feel like both our diaries have turned into the me and you show, haha, not complaining particularly.

I had the same problem I must have woken up 5+ times last night after laying there for over an hour initially trying to doze off. I woke up feeling literally half zombie.

Just got the tube home, left work an hour early as I just was not productive. My mood was so foul... I had a big bagpack on and I was deliberately pushing it into some short girls face and moving to annoy her by slapping my bag against her head whenever I turned... I had my earphones in but at one point she was like "excuse me" like 3 times over and I just pretended to not hear her and leant back to p*ss her off some more. She kept prodding me in the back which made me laugh more inside... The tube was packed there was no escape!! Not sure what you call that but it made me feel better lol, mischief maybe. Sometimes you just gotta do what it takes to give yourself a smile eh :) I believe being moody gets it all out eventually.

Me in snow = a death waiting to happen. My first strategy is to drive like there is no snow which usually results in almost death, followed by the next strategy of going into a higher gear (my car manual says it helps) and stalling persistently annoying all around.

    Morning All!
This morning the weather is brighter and so is my mood so another day should pass without me killing someone! ;)

Snow tracker is up and running on my PC - nothing happening anywhere near here at all! :(

Last night kind of went to plan, apart from checking through the CC bill. Not a big deal - can do that tonight! Also on the list for tonight is clean washing away and another load on. Must also pick up some new cat litter and see if we can locate a new door for the litter tray! Sausages on the menu for dinner, with mash and loads of veg.

Financially, everything is soooo dull right now. Nothing needs moving, nothing needs checking! B O R I N G.

camz - really? That poor girl! Lucky it wasn't me - you would have got more than a few "excuse me's" and a prod in the back! I can kinda see how it made you smile, but I am sure there are better ways to lighten your mood! Karma remember! :)

Really should plough on with work - end of month deadlines to meet and all that jazz! Just gonna check the snow tracker first though! lol :rotfl:
