Got to love it when you type a long post... and then the internet crashes!
Anyway, the original post went along the lines of...
lol - We got through 2 x cans of de-icer the other morning.. it was sooo frozen I couldn't even get in my car!
Off work yesterday for family wedding - was a lovely day and great to catch up with some Aunts and Uncles I don't see that often. Cash spends on the day £25.65 - not too bad if you don't factor in a new dress, necklace, bracelet, earrings, wedding present + card and a haircut!!
I drove OH's car this morning as I couldn't be bothered to swap them over on the drive. So OH has mine. He messaged just after 9 to say that when he got to work a man came over to him in the car park to point out that one of the tyres was flat. Turns out it wasn't just flat.... it was off the rim, smoking and the guy that came over to OH had heard the rim hit the floor!!! A new tyre is not the end of the world - but I better not need a new rim!! !!!!!!!
In better financial news, I am up to £21+ in my Pro.Ac account. I would usually whip this straight out and into my car fund - however, I have decided to leave it where it is for now so I can withdraw a larger amount in the future without having to get to the magic £20 for free withdrawal!
I think that is me pretty much up to date. the rest of the day will be spent ploughing through all the rubbish that has landed on my desk since I left Tuesday evening!!
Hope everyone had a great Valentines day. xxxstart = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225

Hi Scott,
thanks for dropping by! What I find happens is that I withdraw my balance from PA and the next day get a survey for £3 or more and kick myself for having to wait until I get to £20 again to withdraw it for free! I'm going to do a deal with myself and from now on I will withdraw my balance on the last day of the month in which I reach the magic £20!!
camz - saw this on another post and thought it might be of use to you... It's to do with the numbers coming up when you post on an iPhone...."It's to do with I phones, you need to go into settings, general, keyboard and turn off smart punctuation."start = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225

Good afternoon!
Well, it looks like I got away with just a tyre on my car!! Waiting to see how much its gonna cost me as OH sorted it through a company he uses for work. Mates rates would be good! :O
Just checked my accounts and they all balance with my spreadsheet - so that's good! Had a look at the CC balance and I am hoping it will come in around £650 each for the month - if it does it means I can move more into my car fund!!
Working tomorrow, then visiting my mum, then out with my dad and SM in the evening. I'm driving so that saves a bit!
Sunday I don't think there is anything planned at the moment. If this doesn't change it is going to be a day of serious housework. I really do not understand how our house gets in such a state... well actually I do... but I don't understand how OH and DSS manage it!!
Nothing else to report as it is still 12 days to payday. Oh, but OH has found me a new car... do I want one? No, not really! lolstart = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225

Happy Monday! After the lovely weather over the weekend, it is grey and miserable here today - at least it is still fairly mild.
Another weekend completed. Was slightly more spendy than planned - but these things happen!! Spreadsheet update and all ok.
OH still going on about this car. I can see where he is coming from in that there is a relatively low number of them in the country (less than 300) and they are no longer made. So in theory it could be a bit of an investment / shouldn't depreciate madly (3 years old already with very low mileage!). We have the money tucked away to cover it and will then repay ourselves... the thing is I was really looking forward to being TOTALLY debt-free and although we would be repaying ourselves, I would still view it as a debt. .. in the region of £12,500!! Eek! As much as I do love the car (have driven one before) and would really like it I also have a real attachment to my current one having had it from new nearly 7 years ago! Hopefully OH will forget about it! lol
Not planning on spending much this week! That's the plan anyway!start = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225

Ok, so things are quiet on the car front. I was starting to come round to the idea, but then I said to OH that by not having a new(er) car I would be £214 a month better off and when he clears his loan (not long to go) he will be £330 a month better off... and that's quite a chunk of money! He agreed! So I think that's the end of that for now!
On a different matter, I am off to Barcelona in March and have only just realised that....
a) my / our EHIC cards have expired
b) as I am going without OH I don't have any travel insurance!
New EHIC cards sorted - will do insurance tonight / tomorrow! Bad nats!! lol
Still no news on the cost of that tyre (maybe they will forget!)
In other news, OH hit a pothole last night and apparently my car is now handling like a "packet of p00". Pothole logged via council website. Car will need to be booked in to be looked at. Have requested a claim form just in case it does need some work. The roads here are awful!
No more surveys Grrrr
1 week to payday.
This weekend the kitties are off to the vet for a check-up. Then they will be booked in to be neutered! We will need to get a cat-flap at this time too so the little cuties can go out! Not looking forward to them roaming around on their own!
Off to spin/circuits tonight - actually looking forward to it! Not saying I am a spin convert... but it's not sooo bad.

Spin was ok last night - still not my favourite. But.... they have now got battle ropes!!! OMG I honestly thought my arms were going to fall off! lol.
Nothing new to report financially - MUST sort travel insurance this evening.

Hiya nats... Yay I like your advice for iPhones, just got mine fixed again. No idea what smart punctuation does but my gut feeling is this site should work with iPhones and iPads like every other site, anyway it's off now.
Been a bit quiet here.
I likewise have no idea how my flat gets such a mess, it just does lol. I need a female to come and clean up after me.
RE the car, erm you sound like you don't really want it, so I just totally do not get why you would buy it. That seems kinda dumb to me.
EHIC cards, I actually had no idea what it did until I just googled it. I have travelled to 30 locations in the past 3 years with work and never carried that card anywhere. Travel insurance, you can do a quick comparison online, I usually do it on the plane before it takes off hahaha, I am last second as you know. The only time I do spinning is when this good looking trainer comes in, she plays r&b and hip hop super loud, dims the lights so it's dark and has a cool ball that spins to make the room all cool. Her sessions are a good cardio workout for me before I hit an hour or two of weights.
My news is my EE contract is now closed down, got the vodafone contract also closed, they were supposed to change it to pay and go but it's cut off entirely, so my phones basically a dumb brick similar to an ipod touch.
Battleropes, I do my squats with them:

Check it out, it's tough!
I wanna be able to do battle ropes whilst doing pushups, like as you push up, force yourself off the ground so much you can do the battle ropes in the air, then land back down in the pushup position. That would be beast.BC 0/15305.83 MBNA: 0/11231.16 TESCO 0/822.87 LOAN 0/4272.670 -
I do want the car - I don't want the debt... even to myself (or myself + OH!).I just don't NEED the car!
Travel insurance sorted - I am covered if I travel with OH anyway, so have picked up a decently priced single trip policy (with cashback!).
EHIC cards - very useful things to have!
Our spin classes are in a room with banging music, flashing lights and UV lighting... the bit I like most is the way some of my gym gear glows in UV!
Yay but boo to the phones!
I think I need to get a handle on standard battle ropes before I try anything more adventurous! My upperbody strength is not the best - hate to think what I looked like the other evening!
Having a flat day today! Oh well - weekend off work to look forward too (even if there's no chance of a lie-in tomorrow as we have a vets appointment!)start = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225
