So I made the error of withdrawing from PA through paypal (which was annoying enough) - last night I went to log into the bank account linked to paypal to move the money over .... and my card reader has gone missing! !!!!!!!! I'm not worried as it is in the house somewhere - I have a feeling I put it 'somewhere safe' as I don't really use that account.
In better news, I found the lost card reader for another account - the card reader I cancelled and replaced in November last year!! lolstart = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225

Good afternoon All!
Long time no write!
Well, all is good here... Been away on the hen-do.. not as costly as I thought it would be... still feeling tired from it though. As a result there was a little more to move over to my car fund - that should be ready to pay out and clear my loan within a couple of weeks.
In other news....
council tax up by £7.00 / month
V1rg1n up by £7.00 / month
Water in down by £5.00 / month
Water out down by £6.70 / month
So almost balances back to zero increase!
Also had a rebate from the water company of £50.18 (not sure why but not going to complain!)
Pulled £36.something from TCB. There is a bit pending on Q.co - but only £2.73 and I can't be bothered at the moment.
2 nights accommodation booked for the wedding we are attending in May - that will give us another £38 cashback after that.
My car has to be service and MOT'd in the next 2 weeks. It also has another issue which it will need to go in for separately... but I have extended warranty for this exact reason. I don't normally do extended warranties but at £35.90 / month for 10 months (was £33.90 / month last year for 10 months) it is more than worth it!
I think that is me up to date with anything remotely interesting. Oh, it is payday and everything has been moved around.
Hi KD! Hope you are well? Ooh, saving for a wedding! EXCITING!! xstart = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225

Morning All!
A lovely, spring like day here today... the office window is open and the breeze is still a little chilly!
My car is in the garage - has been there since Tuesday... I may get it back next week! Onthe up side I realised that it didn't need a service, so that is a couple of hundred pounds saved! On the downside, the garage do charge the maximum they are allowed to for an MOT... but as my warranty covers MOT items too, it could be worth it in the long run!
I have a settlement figure for my car and I was going to pay it off today. However..... until the warranty man has inspected my car I do not know for certain that they will cover ALL the work that needs to be carried out, so I am going to delay paying the loan off for a few more days until I find out if I have to contribute anything to the repairs (shouldn't do, but you never know!)
House-sitting for a week starting tomorrow. That would have gone in the car fund, but that will (hopefully) be gone by the time I get paid so it will go into my account to top up the extra I put toward clearing my car loan.... with me? Makes sense in my head (although I do feel like I am coming down with a cold and things are a bit muzzy!)
Have withdrawn £35.00 from Q.co - that will head into the house account.
And that is me up to date I think! Have a great weekend all! xxxstart = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225

Hi Nats
Wedding fund building up nicely here!
We had been paying over our water bill, hadn't even realised so when this year's bill came through we've paid half of it already! I've adjusted the standing order and got the extra going to the WF. In January 19 any money that was going to the WF will be going to my car fund.
It's so cold at the moment!
Not much else to report here. Hope all ok with younew challenge?£1 a day for Christmas 2024 £367 / £366 ~Got married 24/05/19 ~ Credit CardDFW Nerd #1155 ~LBM 25/2/09 ~ Debt at highest £8,037.35 ~ £00 -
Morning!
I'm in limbo at the moment waiting for confirmation that my car is fixed and all covered under my warranty.... I am assuming that as they haven't called me to discuss the price all I have to pay for is the MOT. I will speak to them today, and if it is all good, I will pay my car off. That is me TOTALLY debt-free then (never included the car fund in my debt as it is I classed it as an asset and worth more than I have outstanding on it!)
Great news on the water bill KD!! Got to love it when things like that come to light! I love you have a wedding fund, a Christmas pot & a car fund running at the same time! Organisation is the name of the game! The weather is soo changeable here - Wednesday was lovely and sunny, it has been grey ever since with rain over night. Not sure I believe the reports of a Med-style heat wave up to 27'c next week though!
House-sitting ends Sunday afternoon and I can go home YAY! Should be around £100 winging its way to me next week.
With no more car payments, my pay rise and then an increase in my pension contributions.... as of May I will be in the region of £370 a month better off. That seems like an obscene amount of money! I do need to re-pay myself for topping up the money to clear my car loan.... I then need to look at what I am going to do with the rest! Don't get me wrong.... there is plenty that needs doing.... we need new sofas, new carpets, we need a new bed + mattress and so does DSS. Whilst we are doing that I also want to paint throughout the house (all bar 2 rooms!!) So, I think a 'make the house better fund' may be in order!!
Have a great Friday all and enjoy the weekend! xxxstart = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225

I ordered a wedding dress from the bay!
It's arrived and I can't get the zip done up! I thought I was playing safe by getting one in an 18, I'm usually a 12/14! It wasn't one from China either!
Operation get in the dress has started!
On the car front, the company I work for has offered an insentive, you can lease a brand new car and after a certain period you can go on to own the car, from first impressions it seems a fairly good deal, includes servicing, insurance and maintenance, the money goes out of your wages before tax and NI is deducted. I'll have to look into it a bit more but it's an idea for next year when I start thinking about a new car again, can't believe I've had my car this long already!

Morning All!
Happy Payday to me! I have been online, moved money around and tweaked my spreadsheet. Makes me happy on this awful weather morning!
My increased pension amount went out this month. I kinda guessed at what the increase would be and I over estimated by £10 a month. I am going to let this new amount settled through my spreadsheets and then I may up it again (as I do need to play catch up on my pension!). Having this months payslip would be nice too!
No more car payments though YAY!
House-sitting money received last week too.
Withdrew a few pounds from Q.co and TCB.
Finally managed to get into my T5B account today too - All I wanted to do was move some money out... been waiting a week! lol
Dress bought for my brothers wedding, almost half price! Just need shoes and a bag now! Need to sort a card and present though!
Cat flap installed - now the little bludgers can come and go as they please during the day. Will be locking them in at night for now though. I won't sleep if I don't know that they are safe!
KD - Oh no to the dress! I hope you solve the zip issue one way or another!
Catch you all later! xstart = Wed 19th Nov 2008 £21,225

Hey!
I tried my dress on one day last week. I've worked out, I think, that it's possibly my shoulders are too wide! Going to give it a few months and try it again. I have a couple of options should I find I need to alter the dress and not have to alter me! I'm confident enough to do it myself too, so no extra cost to be had:)
Having a rough time with sciatica at the momentbeen off work for 2 weeks with it and been to a chiropractor a few times, which is not very mse!
I don't think I'll be putting any extra in the WF this month, but regular amount to go in tomorrow will bring it up to £500new challenge?£1 a day for Christmas 2024 £367 / £366 ~Got married 24/05/19 ~ Credit CardDFW Nerd #1155 ~LBM 25/2/09 ~ Debt at highest £8,037.35 ~ £00
