Update: just ordered lots from everyday minerals. Hope I won't be sorry! Will keep you posted if interested.
Green and minimal chemicals is the new black- I know a fair old bit about sustainability, specially energy and transport stuff. If I can help- please ask!

From what I read they're one of the best out there, but I've never got around to ordering samples from them. I'm sure they do more 'finishes' than any other manufacturer. You've got me at it now, I may succumb... No, I've simply got too much already: BE, Jane Iredale, Botany (sensational but defunct range from Texas), Monave, JTSang (eBay), Pure Luxe, Southern Magnolia, um... probably more.

Shortly after applying LilyLolo I got an itchy spotty patch on one side of my nose and later I flared up on the other side. Is this just another one of my flare-ups, or have LilyLolo got a contaminated batch? Or what?

I ordered from everyday minerals based on recommendations from this site and don't regret it at all. It seems to give a better finish than the BE that I have - more natural, and they have so many more shades than BE that I was able to finc a better match to my skin tone.
Not buying clothes for a year - it's liberating!

Now thats why hes a dentist and not a doctor nor a dermatologist :)

Im just wondering if in fact you are not suffering with Seborrhoeic dermatitis. This is something that has plagued me most of my life and as Im getting older the flare ups are looking worse. The areas that I get it are the T- Zone and across my cheeks - usually when under stress or run down through illness. It can look like rosacea but its not and its very sore indeed.

It could be that this is what it is and that the tooth problem was causing it to flare up - just at the same time you started to use the mmu. Personally I would give everything time to settle down and try again. When Im having a severe flare up I use nizoral shampoo, not just on my scalp but I wash it over my face and let it sit a while before rinsing off, can sting a bit but will take the long term burn/itch away a lot quicker
Think you may have something here - the shampoo - available in boots etc?

Also, what would you recommend re moisturiser and foundation - can't scare the customers looking the way I do, it is soooo embarrassing too.

I put some Estee lauder on today which covered - well, it wasn't red anymore and it dried and caked a bit, still looked awful but not as bad, just scaly and lumpy, not a great look - its so depressing.

I'm v tired and know I need a holiday but can't get time off or afford to go away - am really looking forward to 4 days off at the weekend, bliss

You can buy a small bottle of Nizoral in Tesco but a large bottle you have to get from a chemist. It is not instant! I still think you should get some hydrocortisone. Something you can try if you have flakes of dry skin is about a quarter of a teaspoon of sugar along with whatever you wash your face with. It feels gritty but it gets rid of any flakes. Do not do that more than once a week.

I swear by Liz Earle, its the only thing gentle yet cleansing enough and Dr hauschka when I need something a bit stronger.

The Nizoral Shampoo can be bought in Boots, Sainsburys, tescos etc. Dont mistake it for nizerelle (sp) - completely different stuff. Now its not cheap at over £6 a bottle but if you see your GP and SD is diagnosed, then he can prescribe the larger bottle for you (will work out cheaper). However I use perhaps one small bottle a year so its not too expensive. I also use a dandruff shampoo at all times as I find it does help to keep it at bay usually.

Oh and just to add, I didnt find that the lily lolo samples covered it but the elemental Beauty ones I have tried do - without having to use concealers or anything extra and they are not irritating my skin at all

Ah now, I was reading about elemental beauty... I remember reading that their concealer was also healing - think it was them. I've got to do something, I know that 'normal' foundation is aggravating it big time.

I'm looking forward to four days off over Easter as am sure stress doesn't help and I don't get many holidays! (Minimum!) I've also got patches of ezcema as well - which is wonderful.... My worst patch is always on the middle of my back where I cannot reach to put cream on. I've not got an OH so I have to suffer! Although when I did have an OH I probably suffered a hell of alot more!

Latest - for anyone not bored to death yet.........

My sister is doing well with my cast offs.......... I love her, but am jealous!

I've not as yet received the elemental beauty.

I've not taken any piriton since last weekend as they make me dopey - and can't be like that for work, although not sure they would notice.

I've also been really bad and put some of my betnovate cream on my face last two nights. Its really helped it. Not sure what long term damage could be....:o

No intention of losing any sleep regarding above action.. :D

Am never bored with MMU discussions ;) But I didn't reply since you were SO daft as to order Sheer Cover at great cost before you'd even tried the LilyLolo... which I haven't used since the first time when I got itchy spots either side of my nose :( Funnily enough I was just thinking about it, so I'm going to put some on now. It's like a whodunnit, I must know what caused your terrible flare-up.

I'm sure Betnovate won't do long term damage, just used on the odd occasion. But we 'roseates' must beware of thinning our skin.

Think I shall refer to you as 'Miss Marple' from now on!

Fortunately I love my sister very much... so my loss is her gain! She's been brill and searching round chemists etc. for me - she's like my personal shopper!

I'm just plodding about the house today - I got the big shop done last night after work, so am make up free, except for some mascara.. fortunately I do not have to go out anywhere, so can't scare anyone!

My sister has experienced a bit of itching and a red patch from using the Lily Lolo. I've not spoken to her for a couple of days, she was going to try out the Sheer Cover next, so will contact her later and find out how she got on. She said how nice and light mineral make up feels - if I can find one that suits me, I would be very happy!!

The elemental beauty has not arrived yet, but until my skin settles - I'm still very very red, blotchy and spotty! I won't try it straight away. I feel relaxed knowing I have a few days off - so the stress factor may help too, as in lack of!
