Don't forget, let moisturiser dry, then swirl, tap & buffYour pots will be absolutely minute, the lids will be too small for swirling - dip your brush in and use a little china or plastic pot to swirl in - mini Christmas pudding pots are a good shape/size, but they have to be de-greased furiously, they hold their fats even after washing normally.

Whether I should or not, I just don't! But I've seen many girls say they're pleased and surprised that they don't have to.

I have Sheer Cover and love it. I also like Laura Mercier. Some I found on ebay is Sheer Miracle again from the USA but I spend a lot of time there so stock up when there. For example Laura Mercier is $35 in the US and £35 in London but £35 is about $70!
I sent for the kit from Sheer Cover (while in the USA) and it cost $19.95. It contained 2 shades of powder, some concealer, 4 nice brushes, some masacra and some samples of lip gloss plus a DVD to show you how to use it. I cancelled after the first delivery because I do not want the commitment of a payment every 90 days.0 -
does anyone with Rosacea use mineral make up ?
does it cover redness ?
TIA0 -
Try the bare escentuals collection - flawless mineral face powder that covers without concealer and looks natural. You can buy it off ebay cheap, the brushes and the powders are great! I have thread veins on my cheeks and it covers them.:jMortgage Free 2016Work Part Time:DHouse Hunting In France 20230

On the DVD that comes with Sheer Cover there is a woman with a red birth mark on her face and it covers that. You have to put an extra layer or two over problem areas rather than all over. So she would swirl a bit on the birthmark, wait acouple of seconds thens a swirl all over her face, then check in the mirror and if necessary swirl a bit more over the birth mark.0

Bare Escentuals was the first mineral foundation I used and it gave (according to my best friend) fanTASTic results. HOWEVER, after wasting ££ on brushes because I thought they were irritating my skin, I learned that it was the bismuth in BE.
If you've got pores (yes, we all have, but you know what I mean) it can look as if you've gone over them with a glittery pin. This doesn't happen with non-bismuth brands. And if you have loose skin under the eyes, it makes it look ruched  (= puckered). You will also have a metallic sheen on your skin, which you'll like... or not! But you may look positively air-brushed and gorgeous.

A couple of days ago I received this info re Sheer Cover:
It appears that Sheer Cover may have slightly modified their mineral makeup formulation and that it now may contain bismuth.
The old list of ingredients was: Active Ingredients: Zinc Oxide (12.00%). Other Ingredients: Boron Nitride, Bisabolol, Aspalathus Linearis Leaf Extract, Green Rooibos Tea
This is the new ingredient list:
Active Ingredients: Zinc Oxide (12.00%). Other Ingredients: Boron Nitride, Bisabolol, Aspalathus Linearis Leaf Extract, May Contain (+/-): Bismuth Oxychloride (CI 77163), Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Mica, Iron Oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 7749.

Here is some info re bismuth (thanks to Cosmetics Cop):
bismuth oxychloride. The standard primary ingredient included in most powders that are referred to as “mineral makeup.” The claim for bismuth oxychloride is that it is all-natural and better for skin than talc. In fact, in many ways talc is a more natural, unadulterated, pure ingredient than bismuth oxychloride. Bismuth oxychloride, which seldom occurs in nature, is manufactured by combining bismuth, a by-product of lead and copper metal refining, with chloride (chlorine compound) and water. It’s used in cosmetics because it has a distinct shimmery, pearlescent appearance and a fine white powder texture that adheres well to skin. Bismuth oxychloride is heavier than talc. Pure bismuth is a naturally occurring, grayish-white powder. It and its derivatives are used as skin protectives, thickeners, and absorbent agents. Bismuth oxychloride was permanently listed by the FDA as a coloring agent in 1977 and as a synthetic ingredient (Source: The International Cosmetic Ingredient Dictionary and Handbook, Eleventh Edition, 2006).

I haven't tried my Lily Lolo samples yet (I have absolutely loads of different brands, some of which are in unlabelled 'baggies' so I've forgotten what they are). But it costs less than £4 delivered for 2 very tiny pots and, to save buying a brush, if you've got a fat blusher brush you can wash (shampoo is fine, don't be surprised if dye comes out) and blot it and leave it on its side to dry, don't stand it with the bristles upwards because water can seep into the ferrule and eventually loosen the bristles. That's if you're strapped for cash and it is only a temporary ruse. I'll be interested to hear how Jeannie gets on with her synthetic brush, they're not normally first choice for mineral foundation, I believe they hold more/too much powder?
As I may have warned, I can go on, and on, and on...

Just a quickie Veronarona!
Tried it this morning - the Lily lolo and the synthetic brush - I also ordered the concealer which put on first as my skin in places is a very very luminous bright red! Please with the cover, please with the foundation as am a new swirler/tapper/buffer - no idea if I did it right! But - the look was far better that have been gettin with ordinary foundations, felt so much nicer too.
As have quite a 'break out' going on at the moment - obviously the lumps and bumps were standing out, but on the whole - it looked and felt loads better!
Can't comment on the brush - because haven't used another type so don't know if this one is not as good as the er - dunno what the other ones are made of!
Ideally i could with some time off work to play around and experiment - its quite exciting to find something that doesn't aggravate me. My skin does feel alot calmer - sounds silly as its only my first day, but taking off my make up tonight, my skin is usually quite sore, and its not.
I also would like to confess in a not 'moneysavingexpert' way, I have also ordered tonight some Sheer Cover to try.... but i do get 5 free brushes (not really free i know) to try - so can compare then!
I may become and addict with all this stuff - and need treatment...
So much for my 'just a quickie'............
I've loved everyone's support, help and input - keep it up!Genie
