Hi all
Can anyone point me in the right direction on how to apply the powder.
I've just received some sample pots from lily lolo :-)
The pots are very small and none of my brushes will fit :-(
Thanks0 -
If you have a look on youtube and do a search for mineral makeup, you will find some video tutuorials on there.

OK, I'm going to be like the infomerial too. I bought sheercover and I love it. But I'm really interested in anything that's cheaper. What was the name of the product you bought on ebay? Was it southern magolina or something different?

I am going to have a look at the Lily Lolo products. I have very sentive skin and sheercover is a a little itchy, (not so much that I won't wear it though!:D) so I'm going to look out for the non-bismuth products too.0 -
Okay...........don't wear foundation full stop but though I might give this ago as its not meant to feel like your wearing a mask.
Where do I start?
What colour?
What product?
How easy is it to put on?

here have been some similar threads like the above one. Have a look at my comments on Everyday Minerals. I stand by it, its the best makeup I have ever worn. I have never been able to wear makeup everyday without breaking out since finding this. Its amazing and half the price of Bare Escentuals, which contains bismuth and some can find it to be itchy on the skin.
Thanks for that, have just ordered some to try outFollowing the Slimming World Plan and Exercising

You have to take the plunge and order samples or (easier to use) small pots. And a good quality kabuki brush to start out with. See eBay for both, check sellers' feedback for the specific products and for their reliability as sellers.

Some ladies who have difficult skin find that they can use minerals when they can't use liquid/cream foundations, and a lot of them seem to enter into a lifetime quest to find the perfect colour and finish - all brands vary.

Hey Rikki,
I've now tried the SheerCover (after seeing the Guthy Renker informercial) and Lily Lolo's via their 99p samplers - both which where recommeded by people on this forum.
Personally I've found the SheerCover nicer on my skin and giving a better coverage. Both are very light, not like lthe liquid foundastions that I've worn for years.
Getting the colour right is a challenge via mail order. I ordered 4 Lily Lolo sample at 99p each and none of them are really the right shade But then again I'm mixed race so that always poses a challenge. When I ordered the SheerCover trial pack I didn't get my shade selection totally right either. They send two colours as part of the trial pack and only one is good for me, but its a good match. Knowing I could send it back for a full refund within 30days is good, but to be honest I don't feel the need to. When I order my next batch, I'll just go a shade darker.
If you're not sure, I say try both for yourself. If you spend £5 at Lily Lolo you get 4 decent size trial pots to try and with SheerCover you have a month to send it back if it's not right (even if the pots are empty - nice). I then tried Max Factor's version in Boots (from the on-display samples) , but it's nothing in comparison to these two, it's much heavier and pastie.
Have to admit, it is the best makeup I've ever tried and I've tried a lot, hahaha. Mac need to come up with something really good to get me back
Here's the links:

http://www.sheercover.co.uk (to order), but watch all the infomicals on sheercover.com http://www.sheercover.com/tipstricks.php?pactvid=15b9d7ca94a6a7114724ac24fc9d47f1 which show you how to put in on - it is really easy. These video guides come with the trial pack too.

Hi
I have a question about applying mineral make-up, I have ordered some from the Southern Magnolia website and am waiting for it to arrive. However one thing I am confused about is how do I apply the powder after I have used my face serum and moisteriser as my face is quite 'tacky' for quite a while after? Do I have to wait until the tackiness goes? Sometimes this takes quite a while and I don't always have lots of time in the morning when I am rushing out to work. I don't want the powder to get caked onto the moisteriser.
Any advice?
Many thanks
