  • i too saw the advert for sheercover and it got me interested in mmu, i googles it and found this thread.
After reading the entire thread ive just ordered some samples from EB and lily lolo, and im excited to see if it works :)
I havent got my brush yet but from reading all the advise im sure i can find one easy, im going for a long handled kabuki and im gonna look ant ebay and maybe M&S as i remember reading that someone quite liked a brush from there.
so fingers crossed that ill be converted to MMU, im a rimmel london foundation girl at the moment but its just not that great any more.

  • Well after getting both lilly lolo and elemental beauty, me and my friend both tryed them out to see if we could be persuaded to part from our liquid foundations.
lilly lolo really didnt seem to work at all for us and pretty much made no difference to our faces.
but... we are investinfg in the full range of EB as it worked really well, even covered my friends rosey nose, we are deffenetly loveing EB!!

  • It just goes to show - it's horses for courses  I'm so glad you are both pleased, particularly your girl friend - I know what it's like to have a rosy nose :p

Thats what i found - EB was better coverage but lilly lolo had the better colour match

EB is the one for me. I just use a bronzer to warm the colour up a bit during the summer
  • I also have to say that the costomer service with EB is great, i had a few queries i emailed them, the responce was fast and nicola was very helpful esspecial when it came to getting my make up delivered to me before my big trip around the world, exellent service :D
suki- yes the bronzer idea is good, my friend is trying that one as she likes the slightly darker tint for summer, she never naturally tans :)
veronarona- yeh my friend is so happy shes cured the rosey nose problem, she extra happy now.

I have the bare minerals and the body shop ones. I had put my bare minerals away as I hadn't got on with it - after reading this thread I got it back out and tried it again this morning using the tutorial posted early on in this thread. I was really pleased at the results (it helps that I now have a kabuki brush to apply it) but it didn't last all day. I have oily skin and makeup just seems to disappear at some point during the day . Does anyone know how to combat this - do I just put on another coat in the morning or do I reapply during the day (would prefer not to reapply as I really can't be bothered to do that mid day).
Never let your sucesses go to your head and never let your failures go to your heart.
  • i only use sheer cover after years of using Loreal and Mac foundation. I also hardly get any acne either

i would defo recommend however i tend to mix two colours together to get my perfect match.

i dont rate the mascara however the concealer and mineral foundation is fab!
  • Sorry but I found it really bad quality. I tired it when I was rater green about makeup. What's more the money back guarntee is a load of ****. Their customer service is ridiculous and they tried to lock me into a contract which I did not want.

You shoud always try foundation before buying. Armani and Bobbi Brown make fab foundations. Don't waste your money.

Combat your oily skin - look at the oily skin thread or google the Oil Cleansing Method.

Until then, try the mineral veil BEFORE you apply the foundation and then again after and as and when needed during the day
