Ok, so just rang Bank of Ireland -
    Our application -
    Full 27th (eve)
    Fees 1st July
    Text 3rd July

Was apparently "keyed on to the system" on 4th. Which doesn't make much sense to me considering the above.

They are apparently currently working on applications dated for the 30th.

So she said "soon", but then 30th -> 4th is still another 4 days.

Our sellers are starting to ask why our valuation hasn't happened yet, seeing as we told them to be prepared for it on the 1st when we paid the fees.

lk92k, I think I'm at the exacted stage you where at. I completed my full app on the 30/06/14, got the "APPLICATION RECEIVED" texted on the 3rd of July. And I still haven't had any updates! I'm really afraid the Seller of the property I've been accepted for may lose interest... Very stressed!

Kose5970, I would call them and keep asking for updates, hopefully this might get you further to the valuation stage!

when I spoke to an adviser she said it was 'with' and underwriter, when I called yesterday 7/7/14 for another update a different person said 'it is waiting' for an underwriter. So completely different scenarios.

Amounts to the same thing. Will be in a work queue pending availability of the right level of underwriter.

Please note we are currently experiencing high volumes of applications. We will contact you regarding any referred Approval in Principles within 3 working days to request any further information we need to make a decision and 7 working days for Full Applications. Thank you for your patience.

I notice they've just quietly updated this.

Ok, so I've just rang them (@ 4:30 on Friday) and they're working on applications for the 1st at the moment. (Although he wouldn't tell me straight off without going through the identity questions so perhaps its not as simple as a single date)

The agent also said that my application was keyed in on the 3rd (not 4th as I was told yesterday it seems).

This is good as its obviously earlier, but also ties up with the text I received on 3rd (so makes more sense to me at least).

So fingers crossed for early next week.

I've currently applied with the PO through a broker

DIP was referred and took 3 days to get a approved

Application submitted then then 5 days later the broker phones to say it been accepted (does anyone know what this actually means please ? ). and I needed to pay valuation however nothing has been debited from the bank does it mean they've received it or does it mean they've accepted and moved to the next checks. Also they haven't asked for payslips, bank statements yet.
Does anyone know the PO process as it's defo taking some time.

Just checking my online banking and they've taken the valuation fee but an underwriter hasn't checked it yet or asked for payslips etc has anyone had this ?

Yep, they do have the payslips and bank statements that our broker told us they would probably need, the PO didn't request them though.
