I assume at Post Office and not L&C?

Yes, well BoI, awaiting a phone call from them as we speak...

I am disappointed that we've not had a response from L&C today though either though there is still time.

L&C contacted me to say that PO will provide no further updates until Tuesday onwards.

I think that's PO's way of saying we can't cope!
  • Oh dear, that is not good.
  • Going through PO too, text on 22 Jul to say Application recieved to Mortgage Offer accepted and sent today - this includes Homebuyer Survey and issues with original solicitors so not too bad i dont think (all done via phone/post).

Anyone have a rough estimation on timescales FROM Mortgage Offer being received? Not too sure on the process from here!!
  • That's pretty much a month - so based on that we could be looking at 1st week Sept, but lead times have gone to pot tbh
  • People applying after us and getting their offers first is just adding to my building rage, I guess they didn't ask you for extra documents?
  • Nope surprising simple case when I thought it wouldn't be. All they wanted was some payslips. To be fair, the longest time was from requesting app form (7th july) to sending it off and them acknowledging acceptance of it (22nd)
  • We thought ours was a simple case too but they requested something really random and irrelevant. Well congratulations on your offer, at least that's one person out of the growing queue ;)

Im still waiting for my mortgage offer too mini25 :(

    24th June: Mortgage in Principle
    26th June: Full Application
    10th July: Valuation completed
    10th July: Request for payslips
8th Aug: Received valuation 3k under - vendors wouldn't budge in renegotiating
11th Aug: Called PO and went ahead with lower loan amount

I'll be walking away if valuation is lower, a because I won't pay more and b) the people are moving far away including school changes for their kids.

    Ouch that's a long time.

PO have requested payslips, so L&C sending, but sadly by Royal Snail
