None of the dates make any sense, within the last week I've heard quoted dates as early as the 21st July (from L&C myself) to the ones you've just been told and everything in-between. It just doesn't make sense.0 -

I totally agree, it's the "what documents" they require that I'm battling with as it's the extra delays of providing more, I'd like to get these docs ready.... BUT difficult when you don't know what to prepare...
I have provided
ID
P60
Payslips
Bank statements
House sale statement0 -
Yes, part of our delay is due to them asking for documents after assuring us that they didn't need any more
They initially asked for bank statements and pay slips, they then decided they needed details of my husband's employment, including an out of date contract that is completely irrelevant to the application. That took nearly two weeks to produce as they insisted on a physical paper, ink-signed copy which had never existed so his HR department had to conjure one up, sign it, then post by snail mail *sigh*.
We asked L&C yesterday about other options but they have assured us that, at this stage, waiting it out is the quickest route to completion.0 -
Wonderful....! Hope they don't do this bull with us.0
-
I hope they don't either and I hope they don't do it to us again - that's my biggest fear at this stage, that they request further documents.0

Another day goes by and no news  They can't even give us a timescale, I don't think they a clue what they're doing.
Husband starts his new job (in a different part of the country) a week on Monday and we still don't know if we need to put all our belongings into storage or not :eek:0 -
What a nightmare for those who have applied with the PO
I had the initial discussions meeting with them but was put off by the growing discontent on here.0 -

I agree, I'd look elsewhere unless the rate is really good.0 -
I agree and would even say go elsewhere full stop. I wish we'd looked elsewhere when we first became aware of the long delays.0

I'm just gutted I can't stay with HSBC.
If it falls through I'll be staying put, if it doesn't I'll be repaying what I can in order to get back with HSBC.
Falls through, think I'll overpay £800-£1000 per month.0
