  • Thank you!
  • Our documents still haven't been assessed, our broker has been told to ring back tomorrow (by the PO that is). This is utterly absurd, our application went in at the beginning of July.

I spoke to L&C today to request a rate check and processing time is circa 41 days ~

So we'll see. Prob is I expect that is "working days", which I'm not sure what the PO definition of this is.

Utterly ridiculous, I really regret going with the PO now. I would also assume working days though you would hope they're working evenings and weekends to clear the backlog.

I thought this too, but the rate check makes the wait bearable.

Have you considered a rate check with L&C?

No, is that just getting them to check what else we could get and at what rate?

Yes they check to ensure it's still the best deal

    Ask your broker
  • Thanks, I will.
  • Valuation of our current home today, so will be interesting, how soon do we find out?

Part of me doesn't care anymore and would be ok to stay if house down valued. New house is nice, but the £££ scares the hell out of me.

Current mortgage 707, new one £1233. I could remortgage mine down to £640.
  • From L&C
