Surly assisstant at millies cookies

Hi there, On sunday we went shopping and at the end of the trip decided to treat ourselves to some cookies and drinks from millies cookies. This was my first ever visit to millies so we stood checking out what to buy. There was a girl behind the counter sitting reading or writing. We must have stood for 2 minutes or more (seemed longer). girl didnt make eye contact or say a word. another assisstant came in, still ignored. So I asked girl "is anyone serving in here?" , she lifted her head and glared right through me, basically if looks could kill, she removed her backside from chair , came to counter and said "what?". I was so gobsmacked at her attitude that I told her it didnt matter if it was too much trouble for her and we left the shop.
I cannot believe this girls attitude, I went on millies cookies website on monday on explained what happened in their comments box, sent name and e-mail address but have heard nothing as yet. I will get more annoyed if i get no word from them so I was wondering if anyone could advise what i could do next. Should i send another e-mail via their website?
I do feel a bit petty but i have worked in shops and i know you do not treat customers like this. All we wanted was somes cookies for gods sake.!! but obviously it was too much to ask.
thanks.xx

Why what are you expecting?
Please dont say you want compensation!0 -
Maybe she thought you were browsing so didn't bother asking and was waiting for you to order something?0

Did she say she wanted compensation?
Having worked in the service industry for many years on and off I also find this persons attitude towards her customers disgusting. Personally, I would be expecting a written apology from Millies and the promise that this lady is to be given more customer service training. Nothing will change if people dont complain.
Lab Lover, Id be tempted to send your complaint via post. And good luck!0 -

That would explain her glaring at the OP and pronouncing "What?" as soon as the OP asked if she was serving then would it.
This is the 2nd time today Ive seen one of your posts fudgeukraine where you clearly havent read all of the OP before you have passed a judgement.0 -

Thankyou pulliptears, think i will write to head office, I never complain about bad service in shops but she really was rude. Infact we left the shop half laughing about it cos it was terrible, sometimes you can brush off bad service but this time i cant.Just to win anything would be great!!0

But that is all you can ever hope to glean on a forum such as this blacksheep. You have to ask yourself whether the statement made by the OP is plausable and base judgement on that.
You can only offer advice on the information to hand.0
