Ok, so DH is still washing up before our walk so here is our month's plan:

We don't watch tv, so that's an easy one (but DH wants to know if playing on the xbox counts?!).
No new clothes will be fine.
Shopping is £180 so we'll take that to £160. All the rest we still do from challenges of old - habits have remained even though we haven't been checking in - lunches to work, no cafes, etc etc.
The main problem is we have quite a few social things this month that can't be cancelled, due to their importance, but we will try super extra hard not to spend any money at them! They should all be pretty cheap anyway, and presents will be home made!
I am supposed to be in training for a duathlon in September so really should be stepping my game up with the exercise so I will aim for 5 x a week...

right, that's it. washing up done and off for a walk now...

    xx

Tuesday is my weekly shopping day, so a spendy one. I walked there but got the bus back due to such heavy bags. Then I walked up and back again to get some stacker boxes for work - will get these pennies back.

I've made an effort to keep moving and have probably done more steps today than in the last 5 days! Due to poorliness, not laziness, I hasten to add!

Day 1 of Jiggle free July complete - took all of 1min44, so hardly counts as a proper exercise session!

Today I am grateful that I am well enough to walk to the shops (twice), that I have clothes and stuff to give to the charity shop, that I have food aplenty in the cupboards, that savlon and ca1po1 work well together when 6yo falls off her scooter (twice!), that the evening is a peaceful one.

I forgot to do my 'list':

    -Food shopping £0/£320
    -Petrol £0/160
    -SFDs 1/15
-Days out- I am best (wo)man at my friends wedding in a few weeks, so cant miss this, and wouldn't want to either. I am not sure what i'll spend on this, hopefully not more than £10 for the whole thing. Dress has been bought for me, so that's a plus!
    -Exercise- I'll easily do 4x a week (plus 2x a week swimming)

A good 1st day today :) Am making my meal plan for next week, have done a kitchen audit so am using up what I already have. I also have codes for £10 off a £50 shop, plus Free Delivery at Sainburys, so I'll be using those this week (I do food shop on Fridays).

PurpleJay I am so sorry to hear your news. My Pop (mums dad) is unfortunately dying and she said to me the other day that it doesn't matter that he is 86, ill, living a rather undignified existence, he is still her dad and she doesn't want to let him go. Sending huge hugs your way.

    First SFD today.

No exercise, but hours stood at the stove batch cooking for the second day in a row. There is literally no need to cook anything other than veggies and/or rice & pasta until next week now, including work lunches. Tomorrow I will be walking to work which is a 30 minute 2 mile walk there, and the same back. I really zoom to get there, around 28 minutes it takes normally, but on a very bad back day (further on in the week), it will get longer!

Two planned trips 'out' this month. One as my parents are here for the first time in 4 months. We are definitely going out for a meal one night, but most likely daddy will pay. However, it is my mums bday so I have to spend for that! Small, garden related spends I should think. Second one for my besties little boys 2nd birthday party on saturday. Will cost me in train fares to get there, £8  it's 2 stops on the train!

Will update my sig with my planned challenges.

    Hi All,

First post for the month. Here are my budgets and targets:

    SFD - 0/15

Food - £87.45/£120 - My budgets run from payday to payday so was from the 27th June and I had already done my big monthly shop at Aldi to use the £5 off £45 spend voucher before NSK posted this challenge. My previous budget was £150 so I have cut it back by £30

Pets - £49.12/£60 - just rescued 5 new ex commercial hens and had to buy some worming and mite products to make sure they are all fit and healthy.

Petrol - £60/£120 - We have a new car and so this is a test as we are not entirely sure what the fuel consumption will be.

    Personal - £16.90/£50

Clothing and shoes - £0/£40 - My work shoes are all getting very tatty so I may need to buy a new pair but I will try to hold on until payday so that it will fall into August.

The 1 hour of TV should be a diddle I don't watch much TV at all and it will be a pleasure to have an excuse to NOT turn it on. OH is on board with this but he does still want to watch some of the World Cup and Wimbledon. He has agreed that we can carry this part of the challenge into August to compensate for this :j :j

Exercise could be hit or miss due to MS but I will aim for at least 15 sessions in July.

    See you tomorrow

    Hi All :)

Been a tad Awol the last few months from the df forums, but it's great to be back!! So Hellooooooo!

Great to see Kat still challenging everyone into becoming penny pinchers and pushing people a little out of their comfort zones to succeed!

Quick check in now that I have finished work!

    SFDs- 1/15
Exercise- 1 x run for 45 minutes today
TV- Very rare that I watch TV- I'm a book worm/internet addict :o
Groceries- £80 (I do not need to buy anything for a few days yet)
Outings- I have 2 pre-booked events. One is a trip to see old friends (train tickets are already booked and paid for) and the second is a belated Birthday treat to London to see BILL BAILEY! So should be minimal spends as my friend has treated me.

    N'night for now BB's! :heartsmil
