Hello everyone
1. 1/15 sfd
2. 0/£60 food shopping
3. No outings, well wasn't planning on any this month so hopefully this wont be a problem.
4. Exercise - did a 2hour walk today, being an oldie the gym is a bit beyond me and I wouldn't want to pay anyway, so I will increase my walking.
5. Tv - This may be a problem, as I watch (or have it on) most of the time I'm in, but not today it hasn't been on yet !!!
6. I mostly use an own brands or ys and thank goodness I have enough decent coffee and baked beans in, I'm a bit particular with both of these.
So that's me set up now - no going back, oh can't pay cc yet as I do it on payday and its the middle of the month, so I will update that then.
So for tea tonight I'm having stir fry cos my dd had some fresh veggies left over and has donated them to me, yey!!

Hi Everyone, sorry I went awol again in June.
My lovely mum died on 9th June so the rest of the month was a bit of a blur. Some of you will recall from other posts that my mum had progressive vascular dementia and had been in a care home for 2.5 years. She had been ill for a long time and really had no quality of life left so least she is now at peace. I thought I was prepared for when this happened but I wasn't at all. Despite the fact we could no longer chat and sometimes she didn't know who I was, she was still my mum. It all feels a bit surreal.
On the money front this has all been quite a spendy time but I will take stock this month and will be meal planning and setting budgets for the rest of the month. I am taking a weeks holiday at the end of July and we are hopefully going away. Either camping of the forecast is good or we will look for a late deal.
I will be watching from the sidelines as the thread will help me stay on track. Good luck to those taking part.

Evening folks,
So day 1 and I almost forgot to check in, not a good start!
Have reduced my shopping budget. I'm hoping to get nowhere near the total. Going to try and eat my cupboards and freezer empty in the vain hope that I might be moving at some point this century.
Only got one outing planned this month, maybe, which is a trip to the OH. Other than the actual travel I never pay any money when I am there. I get spoilt.
Will do my best with own brands, have switched to a few after March or February's challenge and I am willing to try some more, but I am very selective.
Can't do any exercise at the moment for medical reasons. I mean, I can move and walk just nothing more strenuous.
I have no plans to buy any new clothes. Not until I lose some more weight. That's kind of my personal challenge for this month, it won't be achieved this month, it will be ongoing.
Purplejay - sorry to hear your news.Feb NST #4

Hey gang
As promised, I am back in this month after a few months off due to family disasters, and the death of my dad. PurpleJay I am so sorry to hear your sad news... love and hugs to you.
We are back on it with a vengeance due to DH having to change jobs and buy a car after getting the train to work for the past 18 months. Our belts are going to be so tight for the next few months as we aim to pay for as much as possible car wise without increasing our debt any more than necessary, so I am glad you have given us a tough one NSK!
I will tot up my goals and plans and post them later, but we are just off out of a walk in the evening sunshine to notch one of the 'exercise where you can' points up!
Feels good to be back in the saddle!

Evening, first check in for weeks - really struggle with checking in daily so start as I mean to go on. Have cut all my budgets and set goals as per challenge NSK you are a tough task master (and we love you for it and the awesome challenges!)!
New mattress collected for my upcoming house sitter (already paid for), money moved around and put into relevant pots, cleared my credit card, petrol in the car and all DDs paid so not a SFD, hope to now get a few SFDs under the belt and today is my last day of no proper exercise - tomorrow the bike is coming out
Hope your Mom is now at peace purplejay ((()))0 -
