Purplejay and Tiptoes, my sympathies and thoughts are with you both xx
Applemuncher I will always confess my unnecessary spends, that darned lime started a trend today as I spent £7.50 on illegals at the charity shop!!
I did get 3 tops and a cardigan (£1!). I blame it on my minor meltdown this morning when I was trying to find something that fitted me properly (without having to breath in) and couldn't find anything at all! This shouldn't have tipped me over the edge as its nothing new.
Sorry NSK!Highest debt: £25,702.08(estimated) DFD 29th August 2018 Paid £35.25

First of all, sympathies to Purplejay and TiptoesIm sorry to hear of your sad news
hope you are both keeping ok and taking care of yourselves xx..
Reporting a necessary spend day no2! Ive not got off to the best start this month but I unexpectedly needed eye drops from the chemist this morning, so decided to make the most of the spend day by buying mouthwash from the pound shop and Te$co supplies for tomorrows bring a bottle and food bbq! This was planned some time ago but the money still comes out of this months budget. No more outings planned for the rest of the month although there may be a cheeky outing for a friend's birthday when she decides what she would like to do! Like you Abundant my budgets for the rest of the month are also looking grim! Am determined to stick to essential spending without going over budget (which will no doubt happen at some point)
I walked my 'almost' daily Waitrose latte trip into town this morning and on my return started on the squats from Jiggle Free July. Thought it best to wait for my lunch to digest before moving on to burpees and russian twists for obvious reasons!
Changed a £20 note into £2 coins while in Te$c. Not sure if you good folk recall but I bought an electric bike back in February which was partly due to emotional spending and also to try and get back into some form of exercise which I thought would be fun:D:p I think a bit of depression had set in while debt busting, I'd completely lost all interest and motivation to exercise or do anything else and this was just the thing I needed to get me out of the doldrums! I absolutely love my bike! :happyhear I have got into the habit of cycling to work and back (14 mile trip) as opposed to driving, come rain or shine and it really lifts my mood. As well as the emotional benefits, I am also saving money. The £4.20 per day saving on fuel soon adds up and last month I put £54 into my £2 coin saver tin. The tin holds £1000 when full and this will be used to pay for things such as MOT, Tax, Insurance, Birthdays, haircuts, dentist, etc next year..
Keep up the good work folks!

Hello everyone
Hugs to purplejay and tiptoes, my thoughts are with you both.
Today has been a sfd so 2/15
Grocery spending 0/60
Exercise did another walk today of 1 1/2 hours
Tv will watch my hour later on.
I have started to clear my food cupboards and I've found quite a few out of date by a long way things, so I'm going to use those up first, so I expect that will mean I'm going to be eating some strange meals!! But at least they will be gone.

Ooh, I've racked up my first NSD of the month :j. No proper exercise yet, but day 2 of Jiggle free took me all of 1min 51! Tomorrow I shall add in some tabata-timing stuff and make it worthwhile.
Dd and I go away for a week at the end of the month (as per kat's instructions back in March, I think!). It's a 6+ hour journey on the train and metro to get to our 'cottage'. So absolutely everything has to be carried, mostly by yours truly. Dd's food is the most vital thing, as I can't guarantee the nearby coup will have her bread, and will need enough to tide her over till I can get to a shop that has it. But the challenge is to live super simply for the week. We are right on the beach and there's a myriad of playparks. We're visiting my best friend over from Spain with her 3 kiddies. So long as it doesn't rain all day and every day (like last year!) then we'll be out and about as much as possible. I am looking forward to a simple week. Simple food, possibly no internet, books, playing, time with dd.

Spend day today. Had to pay for parking for an appointment. Can get the money back in the local sainsbos so I got a few fresh bits to tide me over.
Made a spiced red lentil soup, batch of, for work. I'd forgotten how yummy it was. That will be the lunch of choice for the next few weeks. Still working through the 5kg of lentils i found back in March.
Got to pick up a prescription tomorrow, need to speak to the docs about getting more than a month at a time to try and save some costs, but after that should be a few SFD's in a row.
Applemuncher - Have you thought about sending a parcel of your dd's food to the cottage for the first full day you are there? it would save on carrying and luggage space? just a thoughtFeb NST #4

shyspender, great idea! Tho the cottage will be rented by other people for the week before I get there and they may not accept a parcel. BUT, as I mentioned, I'm going to be staying close to my best friend, so maybe I could ask her to get it for me, and then we can simply trundle up to her house to collect it. Thank you for the inspiration!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0

Evening all.
Spend day today - not me but 'Him' bought himself some milk, so whilst he was out I ordered in bananas and a £15 Arg0s card for my friends little boys birthday on Saturday.
Walked to work and home again, and took HM pasta lunch in which will also tide me over tomorrow. Just need some snackies although I eat and eat and eat for no apparent reason at work!
Applemuncher - you have my sympathy on your travels to your cottage. When I take Jellytot home, we go on the train for 3 hours, with a change in London. Normally her pram is literally groaning under the weight, as am I. And I pack LIGHT! Like you I need special bits for her, or did. Mainly dairy protein free formula. She is off that now though thankfully! Soya milk can be bought anywhere!
Pheonix - I read your post wrong and envisioned you doing squats all the way home from Waitrose  :rotfl:
thriftylass - I have nothing but extreme respect for you doing the Jillian Michaels! I have the 30 day shred. I've never got past day 1, and for a while I would do 10 minutes of day 1, give up, walk like John Wayne for 5 days, then do 10 minutes of day 1 again, and repeat! Lol. I took the depo for a couple of years when I was younger. It made me put on nearly a stone which I couldn't kick until I came off it, and I was super tired and hormonal. I have just had the implant installed in my arm. Hoping that doesn't cause too many reactions, although the depo is apparently the worst for putting on weight. I couldn't trust myself on the pill!
Hope everyone has a lovely evening. I don't get a minute to myself at work so can't check in til the evenings on work days!
Oooh forgot to mention. So far I have managed zero TVI don't really do TV anyway which is lucky. Guessing most people won't be that bothered about Wimbledon with Mr Murray and Mr Nadal gone!
