I really need to be back in the fold next month as my spending seems to be totally out of control.

However if the challenge includes sweaty lycra/ serious gym/ bike rides I will have to ask for a dispensation.

Went to my (was hoping for last) physiotherapy session today - he has been trying to discharge me for the past 3 weeks. My name was called, I stood up and nothing happened.

Went into full 5 minute + injured leg not taking weight. Other people in the waiting room started to offer help. Physiotherapist came out of his corridor and put a chair in front of me to hold onto, then offered me a stick or crutch. kept trying to put weight on 'stupid leg' - no dice.

Eventually physiotherapist's boss came out to see where he had got to. After brief exchange he went off to get me a wheelchair (oh the shame and humiliation - at least the pain stopped me from fretting ).

Just after he went my leg decided to co-operate. Could then walk fine - first time physio has seen it like that, have had moments when I couldn't put weight on it after sitting. We walked to the lift, to await his boss and then I had to walk towards him to demonstrate my walking.

Upshot is I am now being referred for a scan (boss has to initial referral) as all these weeks of exercising, which have undoubtedly done me some good, have not fixed the underlying problem. Physio queried my designating the pain a 7, but I said the pain was stopping me continuing - if I ignored the pain (ha ha), lifted my good foot and collapsed on the floor in agony that would be a 10.

So will continue to be patient (really want to scream with frustration), do as many exercises as possible and hope the scan shows something (not going to think about what - keep thinking positive thoughts). I have managed a few more diy bits but not as much as I had hoped and sometimes at odd times - planted lavender cutting in the garden after 10pm one night as that is how long it took for my leg to get going and it was cool enough to work.

You are all doing really well, just sorry that I am the weak (missing?) link.

Mothernerd you may be a missing link in July but no way would I describe you as weak. Your posts are always interesting and enjoyable to read and very inspirational. I for one am looking forward to you coming back next month :)

Small spend for me today. Sorry Kat I had already purchased a tub of ice cream before I saw your instructions to buy a ice lolly :rotfl:

Currently on 9/15 SFD's so should be able to manage this target for July. Most of the rest are probably out of the window.

Grocery spend is already over although I do have a very full freezer and store cupboards. I also had to buy razor blades for OH £19 for 8  but they should last a long time. I also managed to get a deal of £5 off 2 packs so step son bought one as well which meant I saved £2.50 :j

Fuel is well over budget but OH has been doing lots of miles for charity which he will be reimbursed for so I think I will offset his fuel expenses off the cost of fuel as we really don't use that much ourselves.

Hope everyone is enjoying the sunshine but remember to take care when out in it (more a reminder for me than anyone else as I only need to look at the sun and I burn)

Almost the weekend. See you all tomorrow

    Hello everyone!!

Sorry I didn't pop in last night. I snuck on to see your posts at lunch at work but didn't get a chance to say anything! And then I got the shock of my life walking out of work (late by 15 mins as usual) to see a car outside that had looked familiar on the security cameras, but I hadn't paid much attention. I turned around to look at who was there... and it was my mum and dad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They had driven 250 miles, 2 days early to see me!! They were meant to be here Saturday afternoon but got a hotel deal they couldn't refuse!! So I had a rather busy night as they had not seen Jellytot since the beginning of April and she's shot up about half a foot since then!!!

I did manage an SFD thanks to cajoling my daddy to buy me some much needed chocolate. He gave me £5 and told me to fetch it. I wasn't sure then what the rules are.. Is that MY spending if I hand the money over?!?! :rotfl: - in the end it didn't matter as mum came with me... and paid?!?! LOL - so I have a 5er in my magic box! And I got endless bits of chocolate, which I was desperate for... but opted to eat my root vegetable (sweet potato, beetroot & parsnip) crisps instead!!

So, thats SFD #10, chocolate bought but not eaten & a happy happy lilt yesterday!! Oh and I exercised through mountains and clouds of flying ants... Blergh! I had them stuck to my lippie, and in my hair, and even down my top! Builders were very happy to see me digging round in my bra for bugs as I walked.

Gnome I am SO PLEASED you managed an SFD. That must make you feel :A angelic!! Well done you.

Abundant, I am cheering you on. I think you should have used some of your petrol money on an ice lolly though ;)

Everyone else, well done & have a happy Friday!! I will be back later on tonight after Him has gone, Jelly is in bed and parents are off doing their own thing. Lots of love xxx

I am very down in the dumps today which is unlike me but I always feel like this on the last day of the school year, another school year gone and my little ones are getting less little all the time. Next year I will be in bits as DD is leaving primary school then.

The weather is dull here at the moment and that's not helping me either plus I have loads of washing to get dry so I need the sun to come out.

Lots of work to do today so I must get my act together, maybe another cup of coffee will help.

    Hello all,

Oooh it is hot! I thought it would cool down with the storms but not so far. Had my ice lolly from the freezer last night as some had happened to fall into my shopping basket on Tuesday! ;) Yesterday did end up being a spend day though - not very exciting, had to get a new plug for the sink so got paintbrushes reduced in the sale too.

We are away again this weekend - going to a christening, card and pressie bought but need to get petrol. Determined to avoid other spends as accommodation is paid for - Tiptoes I am inspired that if you could do it, I can! :money:

NSK - Epic bike rides sound like they're going well!

Lilt - what a lovely surprise that your parents came early, hope you all have a lovely weekend. And yay for parent-funded chocolate!:j

Fmess - excellent news on unexpected pay, I think you should treat yourself a little and get trainers before putting the rest to the debt.

mothernerd - you are missed this month, and definitely not a weak link!

Have a lovely weekend everyone, i will be back to post on Monday.

    HAPPY FRIDAAAAY! :j

Oh my, I have been somewhat absent the last few days- it's been a bit hectic here in Dove Towers, but I have been reading everyone's posts and keeping on top of my spreadsheet, but just not having the time to post! Many apologies!

Thrifty- Absolutely Love your invites and favours! I make the majority of my own cards and gifts so can appreciate fine craftsmanship- they look fab!!

Tiptoes - Ultimately I think being present (hehe unintentional pun!) is worth more than any present <3

Stewby - I hate public speaking, but it always seems worse through your own eyes, most people barely notice blips.

Abundant - The number of times I've had to use the penny jar- great place to spend them is at the self-service machines in supermarkets. They don't mind counting change! ;)

NSK- Bike attack sounds horrid, people are awful sometimes. Get you cycling 26 miles! I tried my friend's bike machine the other day...fell straight off it, epic fail! Think I'll stick to running :)

Fmess- Definitely treat yourself to a little something, it was unexpected after all!

mothernerd - Definitely missing but not weak! Make sure you are back for August!

Lilt- What a lush surprise having your parents surprise you!

Dolly- Aww hun, it's hard seeing them grow up so quick, but remember you've still got another whole year of her being a primary poppet! Hope you feel better, think I'll join you on the coffee front, with a cuppa tea!

So I have been pretty poor on the exercise front the last few days, so once the storm passed this morning, I got myself out and went for a jog around the local park, there was a slight breeze but the air is still pretty humid so I felt a little faint when I got back, soon passed though and felt better for it!

I'm nearly at my max for my food budget at: £79.19/£80.00, I reckon that I'll need to spend £10.00 on fresh top ups over the next couple of weeks. Must try harder next month as I am on a pretty tight budget atm for various reasons!

Busy weekend ahead, mostly in London, fingers crossed for good weather as both days I am at outdoor events! Think I'll take my rain poncho just in case!

Have a great Friday everyone!
