  • One more day till payday, nothing much to report - yesterday was fairly quiet but I did get another exercise session in. 9 working days till I go on holiday, which is exciting!

    Morning all :D

I'm counting this morning's check-in as being for the weekend too. I enjoyed a very quiet one and didn't tot up the spending till this morning.

I am never letting Mr Mooo come to the shops again. £13 on tea  He drinks a lot, but still...

I won't make my budget of £130 this month without a miracle occurring, but that was a big ask anyway. We already spend a small amount and getting it lower was always going to be a challenge. At the moment if I get within my normal budget it'll be a miracle :rotfl:

I've not read the thread this weekend so hope everyone is doing well. I'll try and catch up later on.

liltdiddylilt - Tesco should give you back double what they overcharged, sometimes you have to remind the staff as they forget, anyone would think it was coming from their own pocket.

abundant - good luck with your budget, it is sort of fun to be a bit more inventive.

I have just got a letter from Sky today saying my monthly cost is going up by £2.25. I have a dilemma, I have just had my dish moved at a cost of £40 so if I cancel it feels like that was a complete waste, on the other hand we don't really watch much on Sky but we do find the box hugely useful for recording. Is there another box we can just buy and use to record and pause etc?

Today will be a SFD. I have been to the gym, will walk the dog and do some cleaning. Then cycling tonight.

Don't disappear altogether... are you knew to this money saving malarky? Are you keeping a diary of all your spends and where all your pennies are going - you could get a head start on things and start making lists, get the "money coming in" underway and try locate things worth selling etc... Plenty to be getting on with until August...

How much do you owe? Are you in debt or saving? Do you know where it is all owed etc..

Today I am grateful for the blackcurrants being so sweet that I can eat them raw, for coffee + hm biscuits with a good friend, for someone wanting to buy dd's bed, for finding another painty thingy in the loft, fot it being only 5 more sleeps till our holiday.

  • I'm sort of new to this all. I am about 13k in debt. It is on credit cards and I have a £500 overdraft that I live in. I know where my money goes Holidays (have had 11 breaks/holidays this year already and have another 2 already booked and paid for!!) the pub, take aways and general crap that I do not want or need. I have already started to sort out my clothes this evening. I have over 100 items ready to list but my camera is dead and I can't find the lead to charge it. My parents have the same camera so will use theirs tomorrow. :)

    Evening all,

Super busy day again today but that ensured it was also a SFD, so that is number 6 :) I seem to be very slow at accumulating them this month.

Watched 30 minutes of tv whilst eating dinner and have turned it off until 9pm when there is a program I want to watch :)

Quite excited that we are still within budgets, with under two weeks until payday :) Doing much better than previous months :)

Today I am very grateful there are 4 days until the holidays, for my annoying but loveable OH , and for the unconditional love of my dogs, and the fickleness of my cat!
