  • Happy Sunday everyone.

Day 2 for me! I had about 4 hours sleep yesterday which was due to a combination of a snoring, drunk husband, a snoring, bed hogging dog and this cold! This is not the perfect recipe for a happy me!

Today I am planning to spend on food shopping and am going out for the world cup final (it was arranged ages ago and I'm meeting a friend who lives away) I will limit myself to a £20 spend. I usually spend £40+ so anything I "save" will be paid directly off my credit card bill.

One of my friends has just had the cutest baby girl ever. Usually this would mean a trip to n3xt costing anything from £40-£50 but not today. I have a £50 john l3wis voucher so going to use that to buy something nice.

I have just made the yummiest paleo mayonnaise I've ever managed to make! Whisked 1 egg yolk, some sea salt and mustard til frothy then whisked in 1 cup of light olive oil (extra virgin is too strong a taste for this). Then, thanks to mothernerd's inspiration, I made coleslaw with red cabbage, onion and grated carrot. And my mayo! I can't stop munching it!

    Good MORNING Everybody....

Well I am at work for the next 12 hours.. THRILLS.... and am surrounded by lots of fruit ( a bit of cake) and no people cause I got permission ( yes really) to sit well away from everyone else.

So my motorbike was hit by a car last night outside my friends house. The pleb didn't stop but a neighbour saw everything and got me the registration plate. It parked nearby ( yes really ) and I managed to take pictures of the rear tail light that was broken and holding the broken piece found under my bike up against the car in case they went to get it fixed today.

Jolly nuisance - not sure of the damage to the bike just yet but it got me to work today. Just have to get out to work to find a police station now.

So as much as I keep saying I am going to read all the comments I still have yet to do this but it will be done today.... I really hope everyone is okay and chugging along nicely..

Bought £7 worth of chips for me and my two friends last night - my treat of the week and theirs... :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Right.. must get on and do something - more from me later...

  • Hi all - not good news about the bike Kat - grrrrrr. Might be worth you reporting it via ringing 101 instead of trudging to a police station (gets you the same thing - crime number etc, then you can email your photo evidence in?) might save you a bit of emotional energy too. If you do that, have the full address of the locations involved to hand and you can always do it stood right next to your bike so you can report the damage exactly. Just an idea. I don't think you can report damage to a motor vehicle through the online crime reporting process.

Struggling with motivation today to get through my list of very boring tasks! So far I have sorted all the winter duvets up out of the way into the loft (to make it easier to tidy house for guests), read the :money: remortgaging guide, listed food stores (I have a LOT of rice), cooked up a stash of leftover food from fridge into courgette, lentil & tomato soup, and made several portions of mashed spud for the freezer. Scrummy mashed potato and leftover baked beans for dinner. I know how to live!! Was heading for a NSD but remembered I need to get a bottle for a thank you present for some posh friends I will see later.

Oh Kat bad news about the bike.

Been up since 5:30 with the kids and when a hungover hubby dragged himself out off bed at half 10 I left the kids with him and went for my run. He's now gone to pick the car back up and we might go window shopping for wedding rings. Done my numbers for the wedding again and we'll have night in a hotel away next months plus the vet bill is still on my CC. Need to seriusly tighten the belt, so my spending limit for Mo to Fri is 5 quid, only for real essentials like milk and bread.

I am declaring another spend-free day for today. That's me up to 6 now!!!!

Having a stay-at-home day whilst OH and his father go out for some quality time. They were going into our nearest big city which would have involved shops... so remove the temptation and I get to clean out my bedroom once I stop being distracted by buffy the vampire slayer.
Sorry Kat. I can't do the no TV thing. I don't really think OH would be very impressed if I covered the dining table with a jigsaw puzzle and then started speaking to myself. Not to mention, I am a wee bit addicted to TV.
    :embarasse

Erm... update as I abandoned this when a spidder turned up. Sorry, got a wee bit of an irrational phobia. Anyways... OH and his dad came back and his dad treated us to lunch out. Have now dropped them off at a pub to start a mini pub crawl.

  • Well done stewby, I am a NSD too. Was meant to be going out to big gathering tonight (about now) but chickened out at last mo on lots of fronts. Realised I needed fuel (£), to contribute more than I was planning to the meal = food shop (=£) and also just had some tough c-related conversations in the real world as well as on here. Couldn't face people en mass and their empathy, even though they are all lovely, and didn't want to shell out extra money, only to feel like that. Hunkering down at home instead. Hot bubble bath running now, and going to try to get some more of my boring jobs done whilst I am feeling so bleak. Best use of a mood like this I think!! #hopingnottobecomeahermit !

    Hi all

I managed a SFD today by dropping a few bits and bobs into OHs basket :).

I made it out for a run first thing this morning and it was lovely. I've got my running plan all good to go as I have a 10k race in 13 weeks and my training plan is 13 weeks so it is about time I got cracking.

OH and I had a very easy day and we have nibbles and beer for later on. I'm going to have to go with Germany I'm afraid.

    Check in daily: 12/31
    SFD 8/15
    Groceries £105.41/£110
    Odd 20.95/£65
    Petrol 40.01/£120
    Exercise 3/25

    Hi all.

Have managed a SFD today, they are a bit thin on the ground at the moment.

Mothernerd - are you out there? Are you well?

crazy_lady - hope your mood lifts soon.

Kat - to the bike.

Well done to all the running people, I have been for my run this afternoon and it was very hot.

I have done an online shop for next Thursday, I still have amendments to make when Tesco change their offers but I am trying to knock £40 off my already reduced budget to pay Sky the extra we owe. I think I can manage but I won't have much left in my stocks.
