Hello everyone
Just dropping by briefly, finished my weekend working, well last Thursday to Monday, and feel really tired but that's an age thing I think.
Anyway today I should have been babysitting my dgd whilst youngest daughter is at work, but her hubby has had the day off, so I have broken my sfd run of 7,and went to A@da and spent £44.71, which is a lot for me but I got such a lot that I shouldn't need too much more.
On the exercise front I have been a walk most days some a lot longer than others but it's all extra exercise to me. I have missed a couple of sign ins, so I'm sorry about that and I'll try harder in future.
So not too bad so far, but could do better, not much to report really I'm not a very exciting person and lead a rather dull life in comparison to others, but I must admit it suits me!!!

Thrifty - sorry about the cat. What are you thinking the vet will be able to do? Is your cat neutered? Doing it in the bed is more behavioural than anything I would think. My vet offered me neutering which I took up but it didn't help unfortunately. She then gave me a feliway diffuser which partly helped but not greatly. Cats are funny creatures...
Today is SFD number 5. Not bad considering I have had a trip to the dentist and had my tooth buzzed and filed back down to stop me catching my tongue on the chip! Luckily it was superficial so no lasting damage really. The dentist offered to make me a mouth guard for nighttime. I already have one. I felt very embarrassed admitting it wasn't grinding my teeth in the night that caused it but biting a fork whilst fighting the small over my eggs. He almost fell off his chair laughing! I also popped into the pharmacy and collected my monthly 100 co-codamol tablets, and another prescription. Both were spend free due to my pitiful income and tax credit exemption card! Phew. If I had had to pay, it would have been £50.20 would you believe?!
I am enjoying my jellytot free day (collect her in an hour!) and sitting in bed with my coffee, the windows open blowing a breeze across my fresh washing having on the airer, tapping away on the laptop and listening to a bit of music. Bliss! Just as I was typing about the washing, and open windows, the heavens opened! If I had a washing line outside full of clothes I would now be running around like a fruit loop. Instead I am leisurely strolling over and closing the windows a little bit.
I updated my sig with all of my spends for groceries etc. I have just been told in no uncertain terms that I am not going to be paying for any meals etc when my parents are down enjoying mumma's birthday on my 2nd 'trip out' so I may be able to remove that from my sig dependent on what actually happens! That would be nice.
I may pop back in later but I am going to chill and spend my hours 'tv' on a recording of last weekends UFC (fighting!)

Hi all
I made it out for a run this afternoon but didn't bring a hair band so I was very pink and frizzy looking by the end - imagine the curly one from the Hair Bear bunch:). I had another SFD today but I have a few bits and bobs which I will have to get tmw.

Glad I am not the only girl that likes watching that.“Nothing in this world can take the place of persistence. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent".0 -
liltdiddylilt I just want to have her checked. She is already neutered. She's13 and hasn't had a check up in ages. Just to make sure she's not got urinary tract issues and used the bed because she didn't make it in time. Also she went off her normal wet food a few weeks ago and was sick a lot. The main issue is probably behavioural but I want to exclude physical issues too. I sprayed some sort of feliway in his room now and other placed to deter her, see if that helps. It just changed so suddenly and the baby has been here for over 3 months without any issues. Will watch her closely to see if I can find a trigger.
Might have to break the TV rule tonight as Germany are playing in the semifinal.DEBT 02/25: total £6100 Debt free date 12/250 -
Thrifty - hope it goes well with the cat, if you have trouble getting her in the carrier if it's an end opening one I used to turn it on its end so I could use gravity to help get my somewhat reluctant cat into the carrier
Lilt - glad to hear your tooth is sorted! Your exploits did make me chuckle!
Sounds like you need to slow down kat. Well done all on the running, cycling, gym, ZWOW and Jillian - very impressed!
SFD 4 for me and check in 7. No illegal spends yet but away this weekend so that might change! Happy semi final watching!0 -
SFD today :j Took lunch to work, remembered to charge phone at work and to claim back some expenses (£20). Just got home and eaten some left over YS pasta from the freezer along with my lodgers left over pasta sauce (sadly not M&S!). Lodgers have now left but did as promised leave some food behind. Off to do a proper stock take later, but whilst I was cooking I spotted some posh unopened crackers, English breakfast teabags and a quiche which I have popped in the freezer. What a windfall hey? Makes such an incredible difference.
Good luck to all the vet /dentist / doctor trips going on. I had my eyes tested last week for first time in ages (£55:eek:) but opted to go back after payday to look into new glasses/contact lenses. I have had a nervous year without a second pair of glasses and having run out of daily disposable lenses and economised by not ordering any more. I am only spending after my target towards the debt though, honest!
Proper stock take: 1/2 jar of pasta sauce, packet of walnut crackers, salmon & asparagus quiche, red leicester cheese, salad dressing and one bag of salad, pack of english breakfast tea, a courgette, about 3 portions of muesli, 6 eggs, some peanut butter and a nearly full jar of marmalade. Makings of several meals methinks

I so haven't got the hang of multi-quoting on this new version of the forums.
Kat yes I love a bit of UFC! I haven't missed a fight in 5 years now. It is pretty much the only reason I got BT youviewgeek.
Thrifty - yes my cat showed her signs before the baby was even here so it does seem worrying. I hope everything is fine!!
oldestgnome I am glad I could make you chuckle. My cheeks ache most days with the bundle of joy and delight that is my daughter!
Soooo onto the good stuff. I forgot to tell you two things. Jellytot's haircut was half price due to only being a 5 minute trim on her fringe and the side. The hairdresser thinks this could be a pattern, one full cut then one short cut. If so, this will save me £13 over the year. This doesn't sound much but it's one months worth of tv license eh
Next up, I returned my size 20 pygmy top to much hilarity at Mr S and got a full refund yesterday. It's like being a celeb and borrowing haute couture for special events... :rotfl:
I promised myself I would be in bed, lights out at 9:30. So off I go. SFD #5:D:D:D
Night!!! xx

Just did all my banking checks (scarily let those slip from being a daily habit over the last month!). Excited to have set up the transfer for the debt payment to leave on payday (a weeks time). £535. Gets it under the last thousand mark (on the CC's, at any rate!). Bit worried that it is showing an estimated interest from next month (£7 something) had thought that the 0% lasted a bit longer. Need to do some sums as hopefully even with my slip up recently it will be cleared by September 15th, so probably not worth a BT fee. Really excited to see zeros remaining on my other CC accounts. Time surely to close some of those evil things down!! I am thinking of remortgaging in the autumn so I think it would help to have less credit cards open, even if they are empty?0
