PN is welcome to give Lakeland a posh alert, its the sort of shop you wonder round without actually buying anything. I always think it is full of overpriced cooking stuff people have managed without for centuries.

The really cool places I love looking are old fashioned hardware shops with baking sections. We have TWO near here that I know of. Shops that sell everything from nails and compost through to mugs and glassware to edible glitter for cakes.

I love edible glitter :o. A friend makes us a Christmas cake each year ( so etching I actually dislike, both because I don't much like her cake, - everyone else does- but that's ok as I don't eat it, but also because it steals the fun of making a cake from me!) but she at least gives it to me plain and each year I just dust it in glitter, plain white, but sparkly.

They also do things like tin hire and stuff, but mainly I look looking at the glitter and colours. I don't ice things really ( we had to at school, is n't that a crazy thing to learn at school? ...I'm no good at it, making yes, decorating, frustrating, not fun. But glitter? Who cares if its not gold. Glistening sometimes is enough.

I am guessing Gen's story is probably from a while back, St Pancras Thameslink (with lifts) must have been open for a few years now.

    Isn't 'honk' a great word? :)

LIR - sorry to hear things are getting worse. I hope FIRs actions have the desired effect. They were definitely made with the very best of intentions.

I like a poached egg or dry fried when I'm being very last, upside down on a crumpet. The yolk does what butter should do in the holes of the crumpet.

Its very messy to eat though. :o

I like this too :) Especially with a little marmite on the crumpet. Nom nom nom.

Today it is one year since I got the keys to my house :)

Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

Hi everyone. Been quite busy the past few days but I'm still alive!

I didn't make it to the walk-in centre. Excuses... but I will keep that appointment on the 15th.

Otherwise just been applying for lots of jobs :)

No need for excuses, but I hope you will forgive me saying that I am utterly shocked by your news. As a tax payer, I am extremely keen for you to remain well, so that you are able to repay your student loan.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?
