    Horrific.....

I was out in the garden and heard a scratching. So I decided it wasn't a furry in the shed, I was being paranoid ... but I got the key, opened it, nothing. Then I stomped my foot on the floor, nothing. Stomped one more time and heard a hissing/shriek.

I think.... therefore ..... OH NOES

    I locked it quick.

The hissing/shriek - that was you doing that?

    Hurrah, fantastic. Best news PN!

The council will hopefully talk to bird feeding woman about short term not feeding birds and long term appropriately feeding them, minimising mess and spillage.

The mass reports is really ideal!

    Don't quote, will delete
    .

Report all of this. Chickens likely to be a huge draw.

Bait boxes that I have described with blocks will be least risk to animals. We have them here and my cats etc are fine.

Another reason to use council service in residential areas is that you know what chemical has been used to inform vet. A single / couple of rat catches is not going to be likely to be a significant issue. Unless cat or dog is tiny.

I should add... as I was talking to the lady, a rat ran along the top of her fence/gate framework ... and leapt into her big conifer.... just 1' from her ear!!

There are so many now, they are everywhere, every time you look, anywhere.... indeed, my garden's getting off quite light it seems!

    Hi lemonjelly! Hope you're well:beer::j

    Happy birthday mate.

Good work on the cycling, we'll have you going up Mont Ventoux by next summer! You may well find you don't lose a huge amount of weight unless you have quite a bit spare IYSWIM. What you will find is you will lose fat and gain muscle which is even better!
To be fair, that's what I need :o
I've just started to manage cycling all the way up all but 1 of the steep long hills.
I am enjoying it - ask me again when it's raining though!
    Happy Birhtday!

Did you see my post for you about jam / jelly?

    Is your Dad ok?

Thanks NDG! I missed the post - been about a month or more inbetween log ins. If you can repost, or better pm it to me that'd be great. Not sure when I'll be back, only popped in to tell peeps my present (detaisl to follow).

LJ, it seems you share a birthday with James and this year, it is a special one for both of you...James is 21 today (well in about 10 minutes he will be exactly 21).

Been busy here, very very busy, I'm hoping for a rest day today (Friday)
Happy birthday to James! Hoping he's having serious fun today!:j
It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.

Please tell me I am being principled not stupid. Estate agent apparently has a very keen buyer but I am refusing viewings because I told the tenants it was a one off sales period in the summer and if it didn't dell then it would not be re.marketed until the spring at the earliest.
    I think....

Extremely hard to play, I believe, so quite a challenge.
