Lovely to see you post Spirit xx
LJ, it seems you share a birthday with James and this year, it is a special one for both of you...James is 21 today (well in about 10 minutes he will be exactly 21).
Been busy here, very very busy, I'm hoping for a rest day today (Friday)We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
Well, I've made it up to equation 40 (of 49, then there are a few figures). I'll have to tackle the rest tomorrow I think.
Well done Nikks, you're on your way. You can't eat an elephant whole and all that.Lovely to see you post Spirit xx

I was flitting around a bit yesterday and didn't get a chance to say hi to Spirit yesterday, but thinking of you here too. We don't have candles in this house unless the electric goes off (raise DH's H&S hackles), but you were in my thoughts. It was nice because its the first time I've been able to synchronise with everyone else and it felt somehow more powerful, so I hope you got the vibe.
Good luck with the rest day Sue, you've well and truly earned it!Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

Walk into spider web. Get upset. Lose balance. Fall. Break hip. Does she have osteoporosis? Notice I assume it's a woman. A very very high proportion of people with osteoporosis are female.
Edit. I was basing that on the proportion of ladies at a meeting of the National Osteoporosis Society I attended recently. It turns out that the proportion is 1.6:1 . So, not a very very high proportion, after all.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

I don't know of she has osteoporosis, fir will get the lowdown. I was surprised a spiderweb would upset her, she's quite outdoorsy. Fir mentioned my exploits with the pear trees and it turns out she has down AMAZING things with tree training in the past. She'd never mentioned before.
But yes, I guess it must be something like you said. She's not at all young.0 -
Can a Np tell me how jelly's dad is . He was awaiting diadnostic results when I last heard.0

However, an utter, utter delight to meet two delightful ladies. What struck me most about our meet, was that everyone smiled. A lot. Like pretty non-stop.
Doozergirl & lydia are so well spoken, my accent must have sounded as common as muck! However, calling this the NP thread is a clear understatement.
Thanks for making my day ladies!:)
& thanks for the cards too.I'm fighting to stay awake til midnight, so I can open them straight away!
Your accent is just fine. The NPT is not a place for people who can only be friends with people who are just like them. I hope we have many different kinds of accent represented among us.lemonjelly wrote: »Thanks
Shhh! It's my 40th...
I didn't need any leading to be fair. I could've easily sat there for a few more hours. It was lovely - as Lydia says, so comfortable.
And of course, both are such interesting people. I could've quite happily carried on listening to more stories for another 2 hours.
It was lovely to just sit, chat & smile. I noticed whilst sat together how happy everyone seemed. Luckily for me I managed to carry the happiness back to the office, so it meant staying over wasn't a bother at all.
It was indeed very happy day. But today will not be so happy if I don't get a move on with everything I've got to do today! See you all this evening.Lovely to see you post Spirit xx

Happy Birthday James :beer:Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -
Could we make an outing of it?
did someone mention dogs and going out and meeting new people? What is not to love ( for me).lostinrates wrote: »
So long as I can march GDb round discover dogs. :rotfl:
I have never been on toy and utility day. Utility is the group I'm least confident about tbh......its in my head the group I think of as ' all the ones left over' and i sometimes miss classify things in my mind into utilty, if I am not familiar with them and cannot make them out . ( embarrassed smiley)
Nb, tbc, I am not dissing utility day.......I'm kinda promoting it as a learning experience for me, also....its bug's day......er....right?
I might do this!
Yep, that's what I think of utility, we don't quite know where these go.... Schnauzers are terrier everywhere else but the UK, I think they move the days about, I certainly wouldn't be fussed about 'my' dogs and the weekend is more manic than usual. We normally go on Friday, but any day is fine by me:)Hello all hope NP are well . Slow progress here . Arm still pretty useless. May go home next week. On an over 65 rehab ward being asked questions like who is the primeminister .iwanted to answer Disreali
They would have given you mega points if you had then gone on to list the PMs to the current day. Good luck with the getting out.0 -
I am in a hotel for tomorrow's workshop. Huge panic attacks before I left home and travelled here, am OK at the moment but stomach churning a little. This is supposed to get easier with exposure, not harder.
...
Good luck for today ay Yorkie, by the end you will be wondering why you doubted yourself.lemonjelly wrote: »

Call her back today pn.
Can you see any holes at the bottom of the shed?
Its possible they could have gain access through underneath.
On the plus side, she can go to town with poison in the shed.
They could just be responding to you above them though!0
