I've given up for the evening. Have a plan for getting round my little problem tomorrow. Early start as I'm treating myself to a day of annual leave. Oh yes, in the office. Giving a colleague (soon to be lodger...) a lift in, but they need to be in for an early meeting, which is good as a lie in is therefore not an option.
Will be thinking of you all day then. Good luck. And if you're tempted to slack off, remember you've got to come on the NPT this evening to tell us how today went!!
(Not bullying you, just thinking that that would keep me on task if it were me.)

Not cooking all that much special ATM, best time of year for cooking and eating and I'm sort of mono ingredient ing.. I am resisting not eating though, which is good I guess
. I have huge desire to do the master cleanse, which it think is a ridiculous thing to do, and I like fasting, but that seems weird, but I need to try and keep metabolism ticking, not scare it more.
That's different. I didn't know you valued cleaning as exercise, or that you like doing it. I cannot imagine liking cleaning, although I am aware that some people do.
Just don't ever let cleaning become a burden to you, OK? It's not worth it, and you are worth more than that.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -
Hi Spirit. Hope you're on the mend or at least bearing up or failing that not as miserable as you could be. The only good thing about being ill is you get to be a miserable 8@993r without guilt.
No candle I'm afraid as I'll be sound asleep. Sorry.0 -
I wouldn't know an Ikea to a Harveys or an Argos!
I've never even been in Ikea let alone have any of their items.
Some items are virtually identical to Argos, but with Swedish sounding names. Prices are not that different.
You can see IKEA stuff online, but walking round the store is an experience in itself. A Marmite experience you love or hate.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. I was sitting here, mirror angled at the shed base - when I saw a rat LEAP into the air and run in a big circle round the garden. I leapt up "what's that all about? what vile predator's lurking that's scared him...?" I saw him run behind the shed .... and I went to peer down the back when the furry lady pulled up at the gate. Now .... that furry MUST have heard her turning into my road!!!
Anyway - she said they've eaten a lot - and topped it up. I asked "what if they're not gone after her visits end?" and she said she'd continue to top it up. She knows it's "not me" and somebody is providing a source of food and I'm just on their route.....
Back in 2 weeks.
Eaten a lot......what does that mean......was the bait empty? That should never happen, how much was left?0 -

Bugslet provided the idea for something I can eat.
Amazing, porridge with tahini. Its so good. So good. SO GOOD. For people with sweet teeth a drizzle of honey and a squirt of lime might work with the tahini. I'm going to try line near the end, then honey on last spoon.
I make those gruesome rice crispy treats with tahini and honey and they are actually nice then.0
