It's not my style - too bold. You do get a LOT of space for your money round that way. I'd prefer the garage to the space. And .... where the gas thingies are is one of my bug bears as I see that as wasting a good clear breakfast bar area that could have been used for a multitude of other things. Where does the steam go from pans of spuds? Too many ovens (one's too many quite often though) .... there are some red eyes/fangs drawn on that wall!
No floorplan!!! And no bathroom!
Also ... where does the mysterious drive to the left lead to...?
Hmm - looked elsewhere and 'bandwidth exceeded' so it must be a matter of searching....I think....0 -
I'm making sloe gin, PN - but that's OK because I own the flat I'm making it in.
Unless flat-owning doesn't qualify one for gin?
Nik, sounds as if you were great for your mate and her baby. It's terrifying when you need to go to the pregnancy monitoring thang. Glad all's well.Doozergirl wrote: »Okay, who let 'doctor' Gillian McKeith back on the television?
I need a kick up the bum to sort DS's room for a photo. This should be it, shouldn't it?
Maybe DS needs a kick up the bum to sort out his own room?...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -

Tell me about it! One year on and now I'm making my own sloe gin
Maybe in a years time I'll have made a dent in unpacking the dining room?
I was pleasantly surprised that there wasn't as much stuff as I was expecting left to move from my parents' house. Good job really as I've no idea where I'd have put it.0 -
I think I'm going to struggle with stuff when I move. I'm so tempted to take pretty much nothing and start afresh. See how much I can accumulate in a year
Sounds like you were there for your friend, N. That's the main thing. She'll remember that for a long time“I could see that, if not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled.” - P.G. Wodehouse0 -
House, own sloes and no sloe gin making...or drinking0

The kids school 50th anniversary committee has arranged to have the circus at the school tomorrow evening. I really don't fancy it but they have only sold half the tickets so I think we will be goingI think....0

I don't know where to look! I too would like to look (ok, I admit it, I love looking at house details like an average bloke likes to look at naughty pictures)
Some of the equipment the OT ordered arrived this morning, boys are up in arms about having a toilet surround and to be honest, it does make things awkward in the loo, it's too narrow to have freedom to wipe as we are used to, because of the bar at the front, my feet now don't touch the floor and to get into the loo, we have to squeeze in and almost be sat down before we can close the door as the frame is quite large...and the room very short. I have also had to move the bed help getter upper, the man put it near the top of the bed but I could feel it under the mattress and it made it awkward to get in and out (although getting up was a lot better), I've now scooted it down more towards the bottom bit of the bed and it's a lot better and the perfect position for me to swing my legs over the side and then push myself up with.We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0
