Just missed Posh Pawn - about to watch Ramsay's Costa Del..... programme on Ch 4 right now.
He goes to Spain where bad restauranteurs are going under, he boots their 4rses, shouts a lot, they revamp the restaurant and he leaves.

I'd never want to open a food place.....

South West France tonight. Capbreton, near Biarritz. They moved there 28 years ago, met as holiday reps, married 6 years later. Le Deck, Capbreton. Spent 1 million Euros on it .... it's losing 50,000/year.

LOL - 8 of the staff live/sleep in the rafter space. Including the 'head chef' who Gordon said looks like "a sack of shiit on a hot day"

All staff are starting their day eating 24.95 steak... and the owner didn't know "you're taking the pi55" he said to them when he was told and saw.

We're on Rightmove and Zoopla now.

I'm drinking gin. I may need cake.

I like the pics - it's a lovely house. The whole thing looks very "finished" and I like how the 3 bedrooms shown have quite different styles and feels. I want to show DD what you've done with your DD's room to see if it gives her any ideas. :)

I agree with PN, though, that the listing would be even better with some pics of the bathrooms (I'm sure they're lovely so show them off) and maybe the home office and 4th bedroom, unless they're tiny - or people will think they must be tiny or you'd show them. Whether you have extra pics or not, I'd suggest definitely adding a floorplan. When I was househunting I was so frustrated by listings without floorplans.

Oh, and a tiny tiny point, but I'd make it say "Built between the wars" or even "Built 1920s" or "1930s" rather than just "Between the wars" - almost as though you're saying it's in a relatively safe area part way between two gang-violence-ridden estates!!

Sorry - not a good time for an essay post!

    Will delete:

I remember having a scare like that. It's terrifying, but actually quite common. Usually all it means is that the baby has decided to go to sleep at a time when the mother is awake and noticing whether it's moving or not. But definitely best to get it checked.
It's one of those times when anybody taking over/taking control is of the most use ..... which is what you did.

Absolutely. In that situation you need somebody to be there for you, and to help you get to the people with the monitor who can actually do something. And you did all of that to perfection, by the sounds of it. :T
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

Good luck with the sale Doozergirl!

We're hoping ours will go up by the end of this week... Possibly we're being a tad optimistic.

Yeah: "between the wars" was a bit odd.... I'd plonk for saying nothing - it's obvious from the style what it is.

Probably shouldn't say that our sale fell through today; buyers had an alternative they had been outbid on but then the outbidders couldn't get their stuff together so the other house was offered to our buyers at their lower bid price - luckily no money spent on legals yet and I was going to tell our tenants tonight.....

Agent has another potential buyer but I have decided it is not fair on tenants to to any more viewings.

This evening has been manic with school open evening and then cubs resulting in a very late dinner plus I need to do the car tax but of course the website isn't working properly, a private company would buy in more capacity to meet the rush, .gov websites just time out.

Oops, nearly forgot, move is to BT and remarkably all the new boxes arrived today, broadband was back by 7.30 and phone line by 9 - I can not believe it!
    I think....
