I like that here every one accepts as normal for us to go ahead and sort OT a bit of garden and patio when we still don't have proper floors.
I know you all just take me as I am.

I've discovered that if you hold keys down on the ipad keyboard you get other symbols and letters. Hold down , and you get '. Well, I never! That's actually quite useful.
Different versions of android have different keyboards, I find it very annoying using DWs phone as it doesn't give you a number via a long press on the top row of letters nor doe sit give you the punctuation choice via a long press on full stop.I think....0 -

In the same way as you can have on street heating in winter if you walk close to car exhausts;)

Seems perfectly logical to me - it's nice to have a bit of the outside sorted out as whilst you're sorting out the inside. Well, I can imagine what it might feel like to have something sorted
Two firsts for me today - I was sent a proof of my first business card. Me - a business card? :rotfl:
I also picked my first ever sloes today. Or at least I'm pretty sure they're sloes0 -
Looks beautiful lir. I can imagine lazy, sunny Sunday mornings relaxing out there
The Bulgarian (I don't mean to go on about her) had PCOS, and really struggled to keep the weight off. Used to work out pretty much every day, and has run two marathons in the last couple of years. While she wasn't fat by any means, she was not 'skinny'. This wasn't a problem for me, as I thought she was a healthy weight and looked great, but she compared herself to the many Eastern European women who starve themselves and really are stick-thin. However much she exercised I don't she would ever look like that (I didn't say that to her, and it's not that I would have wanted her to look like that). That, and she'd occasionally have crippling pain that would leave her bed-ridden for days. Certainly not an easy condition to live with.“I could see that, if not actually disgruntled, he was far from being gruntled.” - P.G. Wodehouse0 -
Having PCOS with no actual ovarian cysts - I guess (and definitely a guess) maybe if someone has e.g. elevated hormone levels as seen in PCOS they might have similar symptoms etc.
I think the weight thing is linked to hormones too - more fat = more oestrogen or something along those lines.
You can also have ovarian cysts without PCOS....I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. I have been rather slim despite pcos, but it was not easy to maintain. What was really very shocking to me was how I gained weight when I became unwell. A stone and a half a week is never normal, I mean, unless one were to sit done and eat chocolate dipped lard rolled in sugar all one's waking hours. I'm knowledgable about food and basic nutrition, physiology and I was bloody scared. As it turns out of course, mine is not pure pcos, but it only got my diagnoses then, and is felt quite cross for the times I'd been very sore and embarrassed as a teen and been told it was normal. OTOH, I am grateful I had the old fashioned sort of education and parenting that said eat less do more, because, like your girlfriend, though its harder, not the same equations , the same basic rules do apply for normal situations. Till I broke in other ways those rules had served me ok, and I didn't know and didn't have lots of the other symtoms.0
