    Massive catch up.

Glad spirit seems to be improving, even if depression is a side effect of the stroke :(

    Big congratulations to chewy.:T:T

How can they tell? Does this kind of info come from an amnio? I never had an amnio and never had twins either, so don't know these things.

    Identical twins share a placenta.

My great grandfather was a twin, apparently my pregnancy notes said "may be twins" (pre-scan days), but I turned out to be just me. I had similar, but was able to be scanned within the hour to dispel that thought.

    printers.

I have an Epson, my third epson; I always regret buying as the printer heads clog up easily and running head unblocker utility uses up loads of ink.

My laptop was making a noise, so I sent it in for a service, needed a major hoover, its now silent. Makes note not to munch food over keyboard. Costs £35.

I don't do backups.... I was using a USB stick for passwords - but it was on my list to back it up and sort it out as I couldn't do backups on it as the file was too big ... and I put it off until I was in the house.... well, it failed yesterday - and the backups I thought I'd copied across to the PC weren't there except one from December 2012 (I guess time just flies by when you get old) ..... so I restored from the December version and actually set the auto backup on the stick to backup to my PC instead of backing up to the stick.

It just had the passwords etc of 900 accounts I have - and so I'll have lost some stuff.... but still got most of it.

I've discovered that if you hold keys down on the ipad keyboard you get other symbols and letters. Hold down , and you get '. Well, I never! That's actually quite useful.

I noticed that on my phone the other day. I've had my phone for over 2 years now.

Still not remembered to use that function though.

    I've been Money Tipped!
Starting to filter through stuff in my mind and know at least one person reading would be interested to know that i very very briefly chatted to endocrinologist about pcos yesterday. Its not really what I was there for but it was touched on briefly and he mentioned something, that ATM two very distinctly different types of syndrome in many endocrinologists eyes are now being labeled pcos and there are moves to try and have one recognised as something separate.

Also. While I knew that poly cystic ovaries most certainly did not mean pol cystic ovarian SYNDROME and occurs in 25 percent of women * it is possible to suffer pcos with no cysts on ovaries, that it did not know, and seems odd!

    * when I was first diagnosed with pcos I read that of the 25 percent of women who had cystic ovaries two percent would have pcos. Now its eight percent the guy said on Wednesday.

My supposition is this is likely to be because of the weight gain in people generally, as its very closely related to fat. In people who would have pcos if they were any weight at all, symptoms can lessen at a lighter weight, or worsen when heavier.

Not sure if that one person was meant to be me, but I've rarely let that stop me replying ;)

I think this happens a lot - conditions seem kind of similar and there is not enough known to separate them so they get lumped together until people start investigating more and finding differences.

Having PCOS with no actual ovarian cysts - I guess (and definitely a guess) maybe if someone has e.g. elevated hormone levels as seen in PCOS they might have similar symptoms etc.

I think the weight thing is linked to hormones too - more fat = more oestrogen or something along those lines.
