Amazon are selling The HP Deskjet 1510 All-In-One Printer for £29. Same price in tesco.

Rather unimpressive printer plus flat bed scanner that will cost a fair bit to run. But it does what you need and only costs £29.

Why will you be taking them down and putting them away in a fortnight?

Because I'll put heavier curtains up for the colder months. :). These are just very light things. Mainly for keeping flies out and for framing windows. I've decided to leave it, and take them down next weekend. Its too cold at night really not to start having heavier curtains up I think. :(

I've never cooked whitebait either. I suspect the trick is get the oil hot and do a double fry.

This way we get two decorative feels out of one room. Light blowy white curtains in summer and warmer ones in winter. In fact, we just sent off today for samples for stuff which might be the permanant kitchen curtain decision. Then the winter curtains will match:rotfl:

We're decided on the fabrics for study blinds, just not how to make them up. ( I should order it now any way, might do that next month)

Sitting room remains undecided though there are short listed things. Fir says if there is a short list I haven't seen 'it ' yet.

I can see the appeal. I've never lived anywhere that I liked enough or felt like it was 'home' to care about these things I suppose; things like curtains feel very 'functional'.

I'm very Impressed that you have the energy to change your curtains. That is certainly not something that I've ever done. You and fir seem to have boundless energy, unless there's an army of helpers we never get to hear about.
