When I last enquired of hourly rates, in 2010, the local/small garage wanted £100/hour .... and my dad new a bloke who worked from his home/garage (who used to own his own garage before he semi-retired) that worked for £35/hour, so I used him. But, his pricing was also "cheap" as he ran me home from his house after I'd dropped my car off (1.5 miles) and picked me up again.... but only charged for the "book time" of how long it takes to exchange the parts required. So there was no cost for his time to get prices, order the part, collect/receive it.
He's the guy who does all LR round here.when your car goes in for a service or what ever it comes home clean too, he's used to getting 'em off the field.

I.
What's wrong with him seeing you in your shorts in your house?
Besides which, its harder to see in a house in the day time because its darker in side.0 -
was that the bit Pn didn't want quoting?
Lot more fun to be had looking down at convertibles and low cut tops apparently.0 -

Another reason I wouldn't want a convertible. Crepey skin cleavage.
Its the most gorgeous day. I was going to cut the lawn and do lots of washes. The dogs are NOT sunbathing, but rather, sleeping inside as if it were hotter than it is.0 -

Local Merc specialist was £50/hour last time I checked (London, not Herts)
Could be a lot worse IMO. Dealer was something like £120/hour, although the lease agreements state main dealer only (even though we don't send many back after the 3 years)lostinrates wrote: »Another reason I wouldn't want a convertible. Crepey skin cleavage.

Well, yes, but it's not good to look out of your window and see a lorry driver's face looming through the top pane for an hour!0 -

I still have huge spiders in the shed. I think one's sitting on two sacs of baby spiders
Overnight they've dislodged/lost one of the conkers I put up at roof level too .....0 -
Best wishes to Spirit as I fall asleep. I bet she's reading.
Get well soon. I'm sure you will.0 -
Kettle's working again. I gave it another go - then started to "fiddle" - er, not much as it's electricity in there.... I pressed the red plastic bit that lights up.... and the kettle's working. I know the kettle power can't come through that circuit.... so maybe it'd have worked all along if I'd ignored that there was no light on. With the light flickering I'd assumed it was broken.
All working now though
So exciting, I even did all the washing up. That's "all" - as opposed to"nearly all" that I'll often do. Having said that, I then opened a cupboard to look for something and a pot of tub lids fell out, so they need washing again now (as they went on the floor) ... so I've more washing up to do, but nothing that's got food on it.... so it's more of a rinse.0 -
