It would help you identify if it was poisonous though!

I've no intentions of rolling around in the grass licking it, so it's not really that important to me :)

I'm intrigued to know ... but not scared.

The colour matches the 2nd one on that page. All these photos are of bigger/flatter ones than mine really ... but, as I said, maybe mine'll grow more.

Maybe a big spider sat on them.

Shush .... my big spiders seem to be in for the long-haul .... I've got plans to evict them. Today's cutting of the foliage was a good start - then, later, I put two conkers about 8" from where they're sitting .... one on either side, so with the shed filling with conkers and citronella - and the ferns/ivy gone ... they might think it's not so great there - and move on.

Lakeland sell a spray that moves them on - made from clove oil and extract of conkers. It's [a] out of stock £5 and 8+ miles away .... so I might try some clove oil at some point too :)

I very, very, very, very, very ... rarely see any YS worth having. Most, say £3, curries are down to £2.80.... there's rarely any curries/spicy stuff reduced at all - and most reduced things are by 20-30p. It's definitely luck/regional/location. I was in the Coop the other day and I think they might yield some results - but it's not worth driving and parking (total cost £1.50) just to look.

I think Co-op is an utter rip off. Doozer bought a small reduced piece of broccoli yesterday that was 71p. Not only was it tiny, a bigger piece would have been 49p full price elsewhere, even our local miniature Tesco.

Exhausted from fretting. Delighted to have house to self. Fighting to stay awake for dogs. :)

Temperature tonight is perfect. Everything feels really beautiful. I can just catch occasional very, very feint scent of smoke, so a few people in valley have lit fires tonight, plus smell of earth and plants ....not autumnal yet like fallen leaves and mushrooms and toffee apples, but certainly richer, darker scents starting.

We went for a curry :). It was nice, we even had a famiy conversation which made the expense worth it.

I noticed the smell too. My description was that it still smells warm and not autumn yet, but you're right, it was quite earthy. Yum. I'd like to bottle that scent. The moon is full but not as close as it seemed when I was lighting candles for spirit yesterday.

Thanks for the further details. Tried to look at your pic again but you took it down? Anyway, from what I remember of it it might be the one on this page. Boletus impolitus.

What a great name! Liking mown grass near oak trees couldn't be a better fit for the environment. Clever lady.

We get wonderful bargains at the Cromer Coop, but I think it varies according to who is wielding the sticker gun.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

... and with only a 260 mile round trip, it's worth checking in every day :)

Effing dishwasher is leaking. I don't have a landlord to ring, I'll have to sort it out myself. I've tried opening and closing it a couple of times and kicking it a bit. My repair skills are exhausted...

Where is it leaking from? (Bear in mind I'm humouring you and am unlikely to have an answer)
