    I've been Money Tipped!
Karl L made his way back over today, risking walking through big dogs jaws.

The other three stayed put and were mingling surprisingly well.

So all but two or three hens from this year, and the current bubs, and rooster, have been moved over tonight. Poor karl. Hopefully a best friend is in this batch of movers and he settles. Otherwise its bad news for him. :(

Keep thinking of Spirit, and worry not to have heard. Hopefully, she is just suffering from a flat battery in her phone.

Had a text, and she's OK. Wobbly, a bit upset, but OK. I sent her our love.

Include me in that. Very pleased you're posting already, Spirit.

We had a wonderful sunset tonight, so I took photos. This is the set of 12:

That's our power supply he's sitting close to! The telephone line is lower down according to OH. Hardly surprising we sometimes have telephone and internet problems! :rotfl:

    So pleased to hear from you Spirit, it's early days and hope you get lots of sleep to help your side get better fast. {{hugs}}

Lovely garden, PN, and the light streaming through those doors/windows makes it feel so spacious. :D

You asked about weedkiller. If you want to kill off everything, then I'd suggest something with glyphosate as the active ingredient. It's better value long-term to get the neat concentrate, and mix it up as you need it, but I suspect for your purposes a pre-mixed spray would be best. No need for a brand name.

If it's to kill off broad leaved weeds in lawn e.g. dandelions, you want a selective herbicide instead. Verdone is the best known brand name but anything with that combination of active ingredients would be fine.

BTW, I have no idea how you came up with that ingenious solution for the stick in the hole! :T

Hope you got your document in, Masomnia :)

    Lovely doglets DG :D

I'm coming to the end of my 2 weeks' summer holiday and have spent most of it studying. I'm glad I had the luxury of time to do so - would have found it difficult to do this stage just in my spare time, but suddenly I'd had enough today.

I've spent far too long on the current assignment, couldn't see the wood for the trees, couldn't make decisions as to which examples to use for which elements of it, and got a bit overwhelmed. :(

So, went out to collect the float for next week's allotment shop, came back and had another bash at a v2. I think it's suddenly fallen into place so am pretty pleased. Now all I need to do is to get it down into the right length ... it probably should have been 1200 words but the tutor accidentally extended it to 1500 words and I'm struggling to get it down to the extra 10% we're allowed  (I'd never have managed with the original total!!!).

Tomorrow will be a day off from it :T

DG, I showed DD your dog photo, and she likes them just as much as I do. :)
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

I absolutely detest fancy dress parties, I never know what to wear, I am hopeless at making it and I feel very silly. I much prefer dressing up as in dressing in a far more glamourous outfit than I would normally wear thing.

It was the same when the boys had those school things where they had to wear a period costume for a day, hated, hated them....far beyond my skills to make the costume for the day that looked good enough as there were always those very annoying mums who could make a plain sheet into something fabulous. Give me a skirt to dart, or trousers to customise for leg shape, or change boring skirt into something more exciting, or make a cuddly toy, no problem but give me strict instructions to follow made out of a sheet, arrrggghhh!
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

A few people have mentioned it so I will confirm that the portfolio is done! Handed in. I was fairly happy with it in the end :) Dissertation not so much but the portfolio I think was good. It's pass or fail and I'm sure it's good enough to pass.

So hopefully by January I'll be Masomnia BA MSc Assoc CIPD. Not bad going. I'm planning on doing a diploma in piano performance too; but that's a sort of five year thing, just for the letters y'know.

Did a couple of job applications today, and I'll do some more tomorrow. I feel positive about that. Need to apply for both grad schemes that start in September next year, and jobs to start immediately. So it's a bit of a pain but I'll get there.
