Sympathy. I hate dressing up too. :(
Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. (Link permitted by forum team)
Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.
    :)

Me too. I do however have an emergency fancy dress outfit - a lab coat and safety specs. I've now been in a lab for a horribly long time, so I think they do actually count as fancy dress now.

I used to have several fancy dress outfits. It used to be "big" where I used to live, dressing up on New Year's Eve - and the town was full and it was a small town - and people'd come just to watch (and they'd dress up to watch too). So it was practically compulsory to be dressed up in town that night. So, over the years, I got together a few outfits that I kept: cavegirl, serving wench and a witch. I binned them all when I got rid of everything nearly 10 years ago :(

Having said that, since then, I've not had a single occasion I could have worn any of them - but it's nice keeping things "in case" because you can't just get an outfit together at short notice.

It sounds as though the next NP get-together should be in the nude?

Edit: You won't keep Michaels away!
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

I prefer being undressed, excel,*to nowadays I find I'm more confident in public dressed. I'm thinking maybe a burka might really improve my self esteem actually.

    * I have no idea what I was trying to say here. Not very tactfully on a thread supporting someone with mental health I talked about em mental cheese today. (Emmenthal). What is it with rates people and cheese , huh?

Anyway, I think excel might have meant to have been 'except'
