There've been the first drips of rain here in the past hour or so.... not many - patio slabs are showing about 30 small dots of wet/slab.

Spirit the cake will not be looking its best for you visit I'm afraid. I am about to turn the tap on for it. We've not hauled out the trees that died and fell last winter either. All in all it looks very sorry for itself.

    Ah.

So potentially not as good as that new phone.

Either way we have to buy a phone. ( ours hasn't worked since the big lightening storms, we're guessing our phone took the brunt some how)

The walls here are more than 4 feet thick and it works outside 100 m away, I think it comes with some sort of range booster box that could go in the roof and have an optional aerial.
    I think....

    I'm guessing lake?
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

Yes, but it is called The Cake ... a lake so big it's got its own name. So the "typo" is correct.

Ours aren't four feet thick :D.

1oo m. Would n't cover work zone / all buildings which would of course be ideal.

The other phone, even if it does half of what it says, should.

If you have not dredged it, planted it with lily pads and got dragon flies skimming across it then I'm not coming.;)

My eyes will be on your pleached trees and dogs I expect.

We're planning on jam making on Monday. Today is some gardening.
I now have 3 ice cream tubs in the freezer full of blackberries.
    Nom!

There's only so much crumble a person can have though.

Perhaps I should consider making jam? There will be more blackberries to pick!

Thank you! We won! Previous captain was shocked (we've never won there). I reckon we need 5-6 more ponts from 2 games to be champions!:)

I'm repainting the back wall. The colour I picked was a brilliant shade of WRONG. It was a whim. I must not have paint whims. All paint choices must be pondered for weeks.
That's exactly why I plan to wait 12 months from GT day before I do any decorating. Make sure I a) pick the right colour, & b) have seen the house in all seasons & lights so it is right.
It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.
