Nice People 12: Nice in Nice

Small sore bits are keeping me awake.
I had an ingrown toe nail treated yesterday. It should not be sore now...but is.
Our cat in an unprovoked moment of naughtiness rushed into our room, up onto the bed and smacked me across the left eyebrow. With her claws out. Shocked me from drowsy to wide awake and I have a small sore scratch.
We also attended a party yesterday. For OH's great niece. She was three.
We had a great game with a balloon with one of her friends. So cute.0 -

Er ... hang on ... posh alert?
So these people hired a fish/chip van to come to their house to feed you guys??
It's done a bit differently on the council estate over the road .... they go to the chip shop, it doesn't come to them.
So you had hand cut, organic potatoes which were hand reared in an eco-sustainable-green environment - and harvested during the waxing moon using only hand tools crafted by a locally sourced blacksmith. Food miles guaranteed minimised and everybody's joyful to be working with Sustainable Britain.....
Any ketchup?0 -

No, it was an ordinary chip van, as you would find on a trading estate, or set up in a square or side of road with pubs in on Saturday or Sunday nights. I was mildly disappointed it wasn't a kebab van
Normal old potatoes, range of condiments on offer. I had small order of chips, no salt, no vinegar, no sauce. Instead of fish you could have a sausage, or chicken. I wasn't hungry enough, but I didn't want to not join in
These people are part of organic movement but have worked very, very hard to be. They live well, on a very decent lifestyle now, but they are unlikely to retire millionaires I think. In anycase, it will be a very, very sad day for us when they do retire. They are ideal neighbours.
Dog dog did not like the sound of the party and self elected her self as environmental health at about 11. So we brought her to bed. She was delighted and went to sleep immediately , in a ball right in the middle. Fir and I feel a little like we could do with osteopaths this morning. Oh, but her face this morning, she was so happy to have been with us for the night again.
We have to be very firm to night, because she will yell to come up tonight almost certainly.0 -
I was told of a man round here, who was banned from most of the shops in sheringham. Not only that, he was banned from the mobile fish and chip van!No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0

He tended to drops his trousers, apparently. That sounds harmless enough, but apparently he was also very aggressive. Just how threatening a man can be with his trousers round his ankles, I don't know, but he was regarded as a menace.
He's now housebound, which rather uncharitably is considered round here a Good Thing. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

Work in a public library. You get to meet a lot of strange people... I'm sure that the NHS, Job Centres etc have very similar experiences too. Every now and again you have a day that is so bizarre you go home questioning what is normal.
And you never know what weird experience you are going to get before it happens in order to plan for it. Sometimes it is funny, sometimes unsettling, always out of the usual. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.
