How near your boundary?
Not sure... tried to peek from window over the fence.... can see foundations have been dug to 6" of the far side fence.... so, presume, same here.
Total plot width is just shy of 12'
Not bothered about breaking regs/etc.... good luck to them when they come to sell, that's their choice etc. Actually, the radio was kept low/then turned off after 2-3 hours.0 -
But for DD it's pathological. It's not just much loved toys with imagined personalities. It's anything - the box the hamster cage came in, the dried out plastic pots of soil from an abandoned "science" experiment, every garment or shoe she's ever owned, and even a few tears when the vacuum cleaner came back from the repair shop with a new mains cable and the old mains cable had not been retained for her to cherish. It will destroy her life if it's not treated. Go to 4od and watch "The hoarder next door" to get an idea of how she'll turn out as an adult if she doesn't get help now.
I'm not quite "The hoarder next door", but am very close to it. I've been going to counselling for a number of years since my parents died, 7 years ago now. Need to go back to my counsellor, as we really really need for me to get out last of stuff from old home so we can sell it. Ashamed to say it's all coming back to new home, where there are now stacks of boxes. <roll eyes smilie>
So glad that you know your DD needs help. Even with help from a good Counsellor she may find it hard. I think the way my Mum just got rid of my stuff, without ever asking me, hasn't helped my hoarding tendencies.
If you were in Liverpool I could recommend a wonderful Counsellor, who works with young people. She could do it via Skype if that were OK. But best for face to face work on this stuff really.
Big hugs to you Lydia, so hope you get help for your DD sorted out ASAP.

We went to the co-op yesterday (Fortnums North) and bought loads of yellow stickered fruit salads for 40p each, down from £2. Also, two punnets of strawberries reduced likewise. All this fruit is just pleasantly ripe, some not quite ready to eat yet. Also, cress for 6p. They were closing early for the carnival.
I bought a YS ietm last week. I was very proud of myself. It was aready made Pizza for DD.I put it in the freezer, and proudly told her it was there as a ready meal and apparently she does not eat that type of pizza any more:(
I rarely eat shop pizza and OH makes good pizzas so this might not be a bargain.0 -
Quick before PN fills my box again....
My PM box has 51 messages in it and I've not got round to deleting any, so can't send any until I do .... limit's 50... but if you get reported for abuse and a post is removed, Admin can override that to send you a PM to tell you your post was abusive and it's been deleted0 -

I am off work for 12 days, although I spent a large part of today on phone calls I did not send or read any emails. So I am winding down..but I have eaten like a horse..I even bought junk to eat, crisps and jaffa cakes.
I'm not at all sure what has got into me. I have been quite careful because of my blood glucose levels ..at home mostly eat hm food, so I have to get back on track.
It is like self harm with snacks.0 -
"Own Teddy". (The youngest in a family of 4 often feels that there are very few toys that are his/her own, and feels strongly about them in consequence.)
.
My parents weren't very toy-y and because we moved a lot it made sense totravel light. I was ok with that and Kept treasured ones only. However, what I did not realise is that these were not originally mine, so I was a bit shocked in some cases to give them back to sibling for niece one. Ok with it because I was a teenager by then and realised my need was not as great and that it was nice for the next generation to have teddies that had been with their mummy but still felt disconcerting.0 -
Program about the Russian Princesses just starting on BBC2. I think it will be worth watching (first of 2)0
