Am I the only person who thinks the Silly Season shows how easy journalism can be? How's this for a non-story

    :D

Today there was a breaking news story on Sky that the UK had announced that it had launched surveillance flights over northern Iraq. For me the surprise would have been if they hadn't launched surveillance flights over northern Iraq.

That story is a particularly extreme example of a non-story though.

  • I ended up drinking six glasses of limoncello

I usually just have them leave the bottle....:o

Go onto the rmli live shouts site and see if they tell you live.... many do these days

    http://rnli.org/latestlaunches/Pages/latestlaunches.aspx

They also Tweet, but not "live". https://twitter.com/RNLIAbersoch

Thanks for these links, PN. I didn't know about the latest launches page - latest for here was yesterday.

This was a big helicopter, so my guess police or hospital or RAF. It was really getting dark by the time it was flying over and around, so impossible to see colour. Daytime we just get the binoculars out and take a closer look. Strange to see helicopter round here when it's so late and getting dark. Daytime there are sometimes private ones around, though they tend to be smaller. Of course it might be Bear Grylls deciding to have a barbie on the beach! ;) Oh, and I think there's a festival too. The music all appears to be at Llanbedrog though, so doubt there'd be any helicopter action here for that.

I'm just a nosy so and so! :rotfl:

Saturday night, 9.30 - usually 2-3 blokes who went out in a dinghy and haven't come home yet. They're probably in the pub.

Aldi had v reasonably priced Limoncello a couple of weeks back. Don't know if they have any left. I think it was about £5.99

    Found this story. Very topical:

I've never had limoncello. Saw it once on the telly - on one of those Home in the Sun programmes where (usually Jasmine) the presenter takes the couple to some local activity, to sample a local delicacy/whatever.

But does it taste any good?

I'm oddly particular with limoncello. A lot of brands taste odd... sort of cheap and artificial.

Sorry Hamish, I don't know. Don't like the stuff. The only alcoholic drinks I like are vodka, tequila, red wine, port, Baileys and Pimms.

A lot? 'Most'. I'd say. Good ones are rare.

I'm not that fussed on it, especially not as a digestif.
