That's a lovely looking kitchen. Maggie - I may take you up on that.
Even without small fry, I never work from home, I'd rather drive the 30 miles into work and do an hour there, I just don't like mixing home with work.
She's plain intelligent, that's what she is!
And moving on from the kitchen dither, I spotted this house up for sale, literally two roads away from me. Definitely priced to sell and basically good to go by the looks of it.

I've had a ponder and I could get a loan for it ( well apparently I could get a loan for a lot more, but even putting 25% down, is scary enough). I would just have to decorate the cold kitchen then.
And last time I rented a couple of houses out, I said I wouldn't do it again. But this is round the corner and I'm older and wiser. Rent would cover just at interest rate of 5%. Should be reasonably busy on the rental as the bridge building gets going, which is a three year project.
Hmmm, it's at times like this, I miss having Mr Bugs about to mull things over with.
What is picture 6? I can't work out if it is a corridor or meant to be a room.
That kitchen looks over-fitted. So many cupboards and nowhere to eat.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. I really believe that having more than one dog is the way to go! Not that that is feasible for you and Lady GDB. My lot trot off into kennels with hardly a look at me, then when everyone else's dog is in frenzy mode when collected, mine just do a, 'C'mon then, anything to eat?':rotfl:
I will confess to really liking OFGS....I just discovered it recently and now say it in my head all the time.
.....dam, wanted to read the Super Boomer thread but bit late now.
OH wants to be a Super Boomer
!!!!!!, only not necessarily the initials. I blame it on years of fork-lifting and driving. I am polite in company though:o.
I'm hoping to meet and marry a Super Boomer:p0 -

It's not a pretty house, it would be a renter. I think, and I said the same as you, that long room is between the hall and the kitchen. It looks as if they have shoved the kitchen to one end to 'create' another room. Looks rubbish, but it's functional.
I'd normally expect that ( if it has no faults) to go for 130k.0 -
It really is.
Once again, the NPT is topical yet ahead of the curve: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-28783088
I didn't know a lot of those words! I'm well behind the curve.
Anyhoo off to binge-watch "Playing the Stylophone for Fun and Profit" on my Betamax thingy.;)There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -

depends on the dog, but multiples are better than one if you want a life, unless you can take the one everywhere, I hope to take the two more place when big is gone.

I love Kermie! He's such a funny baby.
Didn't know what YOLO was either - now I do thanks to the NPT
And I had to google OFGS.
Never binge watched as we never watch programmes that can be binge watched.0 -
We applied for remarks in 5 papers, just because he was near the border line and needed to go up a grade. All 5 papers came back with a different mark!. 2 down and 3 up, resulting in one grade increase. (So we had a refund of the remark costs of the 3 papers in that subject.) I found it horrifying that all the marks changed.
My niece, aged 19, has been working for one of the exam boards this Summer. For the first 2 weeks she was just checking that the marks added up correctly on each paper; then she was promoted to marking maths papers! Not a question of right or wrong, but for wrong final answers points are awarded for reaching stages of the workings correctly. I was horrified, she dropped maths after gcse, so had little understanding of the answer sheets.
It's appalling. But exam marking just doesn't pay well enough to attract sufficient numbers of properly qualified staff. The way the online marking system works provides a huge incentive to mark fast, too, which doesn't help with accuracy either.
What subjects were these? Big changes on remarks are much more common (and more understandable) in essay or creative subjects where the marking is inevitably subjective, than in things like physics and maths. I marked A-level physics once, many years ago, and we were told they regarded acceptable consistency as no more than 2% difference between different markers for the same paper.
Just logged into school and got "my" results. Not too bad. For the exam modules I taught, and compared with what I predicted, I've got one student up a grade, two students down one grade each, and the other 11 as predicted.
Coursework module grades don't seem to correspond to what we submitted, though. Will have to wait to see what the HoD is able to find out from the exam board about that.I am planning a binge-watch of Breaking Bad. This is only allowed when thesis v2.0 is complete
Ummm... how is thesis v2.0 going?Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -
