Nice People 12: Nice in Nice

Tomorrow is A-level results day. I will be getting 14 students' results.
Have we got any Nice Offspring getting results tomorrow? Sue's Josh? And I think Sue's Youngest will be getting GCSEs next Thursday. Sorry can't remember exactly how old the other Nice Offspring are, but sure there must be some more.
None for Josh tomorrow, he is doing all BTECs.We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
That really is a hilarious picture. You'd expect him to be looking at a politician or man in Father Christmas outfit.0

Ah, now you have gone from jesting to Truth, with an extra large capital T. I won't comment further, as I know nothing about your mother, but I do know that we are all very far from perfect and need a lot of tolerance of our imperfections.
Incidentally, we left london this morning and drove to Norfolk, leaving the little brown dog in the care of the younger generation. I have just had word that she is hiding under the furniture and refuses to come out even though FOOD has been put in her bowl. This is unprecedented behaviour. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

whoa...busy here. I only missed 1 day (as fell asleep at 9pm last night) and there are 9 pages to goDoozergirl wrote: »It's lovely to see you, fc! I hope you're back for a while?
The house is very beautiful, you deserve to sell quickly. The colours are lovely and I like all of the wall dressings and the rug a lot! I thought you were staying in the London house for some reason, but the Margate house also has bags of potential.
Our house was in need of serious work when we returned from Brighton and the plan was always to get the work done then we would have choices....on whether to sell + move away from London back to the seaside or just live in her. Fancied doing a bit of Air B+B if we needed the £££ as we have the panoramic view over London when the leaves are down so she is would be quite a good holiday home.
...But then That House dropped into my inbox and we couldn't help going to view...and when we walked into the hallway, we looked at each other and knew we wanted her to be our 'forever' home. So we got the ball rolling quite quickly after a family debate.
We have already purchased another holiday flat down there which is directly on the promenade so amazing sea view.

Our garden is west-facing so in the afternoon the sun comes into the back room via the glass roof of the conservatory. Curtains are below the angle that the sun is coming in and it's impossible to see the TV when the sun is out and it's starting to cheese me off. I was wondering if sticking some sort of film on the glass might help (and help to keep the room a bit cooler too)? Obviously I can see that there are various things you can buy - but do any of them actually work?
why not have some 'Diffusion' blinds made? We have some made by Tuiss and they are really good as light still comes in but they cut the suns glare.Lovely to see you. Especially good news about your mum. It had sounded so grim, a sad outcome inevitable so this sounds like a miracle. Really so so pleased for you and your family.
You house looks amazing. Too nice to live in. Well for me anyway.
The Margate one looks lovely.
Glad you have posted, you must have felt tired writing all that. Hope it is a sign of life settling a bit for you.
Cheers Spirit....it has been yet another one of life's 'Character Building Experiences' ........my mother was extremely lucky as to have a 10.5 hour op @ 75 is difficult in itself.
The house took us all to the edge though......it's like a holiday home now :rotfl:0 -
Doozergirl wrote: »Can I have a link for this magic pre-pay card please?
It's not the kitchen I was trying to link to. I think two colours is better than three, especially when you factor in worktop. I've had a two colour with a third in the utility.
