    I've been Money Tipped!
One of my friends just decided not to meet a guy she's been emailing for a drink. Not because of the tinder thing, Not because he said he dislikes children ( she likes them but isn't committed to having one) but because he said YOLO.

I was actually quite keen for her to go for the drink even though he clearly was not 'her lobster'.

    he said YOLO

    LOL ;):rotfl:

Sounds like a decent reason to me!

But I agree with you, she should still have gone for a drink. Esp if it would have been the first drink/ date thing in a while.

I didn't eat anything because after such a long spell of being well was very sick last night. ( nikkster, I had toast and marmite yesterday, just that! Maybe marmite is on my out list? )

Now I have left it too late to eat I have appetite back a bit, lol. Weirdly, but i think, quite impressively, what I fancy, is octopus.

I am heading to an Ikea town in the next few days... Realised this afternoon that rather than being as far away as it sounds, the end of Aug is almost here, and I need to have more than one outfit to wear that week. Plus I don't think my joggers will cut it for the evenings :(
I also have a wedding to go to over the bank hol weekend so I might need to go emergency dress shopping for that if I've out-expanded my wardrobe.

I also need to seriously tidy and clean the house before next Friday as I have a house guest.

Modest compared to the changes in the tribunal system since I've been at the Bar. Which isn't that long. Since 2002 I've conducted cases in the same buildings in Rosebery Avenue and Feltham (the two main immigration tribunals in London) and in Breams Buildings, the appeal tribunal.

They have gloried in several changes of identity; in the past they have been called - (1) the Immigration Appellate Authority, and (2) the Immigration Appeal Tribunal, and (3) the Asylum and Immigration Tribunal.

Now, in its 4th incarnation in a decade, we have the snappily-named "First Tier Tribunal (Immigration and Asylum Chamber)" at Rosebery Avenue and Feltham. Breams Buildings has gone from the "Asylum and Immigration Tribunal (Upper Tier)" to the "Upper Tribunal (Immigration and Asylum Chamber)".

These changes of name have been supposed to convince people that someone was sorting out the immigration system, I think.

Was change 3 during the recession? I am just imagining the meeting between the civil service wonks of the marketing and accountancy teams respectively.. "We need a new name, something snappy, that sums up what we do" "Well if you change Appeal to Asylum we only have to change one set of letters on our building, and we can reuse the big brass initials". It beggars belief really.

It's amazing how they know words.
We can't talk freely anymore in fear of mentioning a 'trigger' word.
So we say things like "what's for D tonight?" or "let's go for a W after eight" just to avoid 'dinner' or 'walk' :)
    I know, it's silly....

My parents old dog used to know the word "walk", so instead they would say "let's go for a w-a-l-k". Then the dog learned how to spell.
Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

Dog dog can spell loads of words, but thankfully hasn't told the others.

Ours get more excited about a 'spin in the car' than 'walk' because they walk a fair bit.

Walks with LEADS are ridiculous ly exciting though.

The dogs also like 'coming to do the chickens' and the 'big chickens' live somewhere different to the 'little chickens' and they like the 'geese' (dog dog is afraid of the geese but loves them on the other side of a fence from her) .

They like the lagoon, and the feed room, and the summer field. They do not like to 'get that bone out of the house' ( dog dog pretends not to understand this at all)

Dog dog is also a terrible fibber. If the others are sitting closer to me she thinks she hears someone at the door, so barks, so they get up and bark, so she hops on the sofa. Similarly, if she is out of the kitchen and wants to come in when I am there, she will bark at the gate ...so I go out to see who is there, and she will nip in...

There are houses near us known as link-detached. The garages join one house to the next, but also the room behind the garage and two of the upstairs bedrooms. So really they are terraced, but in the decades we have lived in the area no-one has dared describe them as such.

    here is one: http://www.rightmove.co.uk/property-for-sale/property-31034400.html

    Those houses are terraced!

:) I ask the dogs where their leads are. Cue mayhem :). Doozerdog even understands 'where are the poo bags?'

Nah, not impressed. When she can operate the poo bags herself, then I'll be impressed!
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?
