Blackberry jelly is really, really good. And easy, too. I've go a recipe if you want one?
Yes please NDG. Either post or pm will do. Much appreciated!
I posted a link on another board the other day - somebody wanted an easy jam recipe .... so I posted a link to a microwave recipe (can't get easier than that!). Equal amounts, by weight, of fruit/sugar ....

    Nice!
It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.

So many plums and their relatives by lake cake, but we cannot reach them because we haven't maintained the ground we made from brambles this year :(.

    Galling.

We'd need a troop of people I think. :(. I might try and take a picture later. We have a smaller maintenance job this morning, and then some painting to get done if possible before rain starts.

New product development idea ..... see you on Dragons' Den? Identify a hovering drone and design a "fruit picking attachment" for it ... and possibly even a small snipping device.

Loads of gardeners would buy a nifty drone they can operate from a lounger to pick fruit, or trim the top of a bush :)

It's got almonds in it ... I don't like the taste of almonds.

Sable pastry doesn't, or at least mine doesn't. It's a sweet short pastry which also has an egg in it. It's quite hard to work although it gets easier with practice. Sable means sand-like in this context.

    Frangipane is basically almonds.

Ah, I didn't know what that was either, but didn't google it as I'd heard the word :)

I'd not like that either then :)

Grr! Tried to copy a friends broccoli and pine nut salad. Wasted time thinly slicing broccoli, part cooking it then frying pine nuts. She uses whole florets and doesn't cook or fry anything.
