Tis perfectly possible. I like to try sail into the wind on way out, easier on way home. So you sail in a series of diagonals across the wind that is blowing towards you, each diagonal travel takes you a little further upwind. This is called Tacking. It takes longer than other modes of sailing. But then when you're coming home after your nice meal/picknic/drink you have the wind behind you (assuming direction hasn't changed much) so just sail home in a straight line. Nice and quick.0 -

Handy where you've put the towel ring .... reachable if somebody finds out there's no loo roll :P
A good sink for washing your feet in .... or shoes, or other big stuff.
We often wonder what it would have been when the house was built in 1937, possibly a boot room.
Radiator is needed because there are 2 outside walls.
We were stuck where to put the towel rail, there was nowhere else other than having a long rail above the radiator.
Toilet roll is just slightly forward at the right edge of picture 2. Couldn't fit it further back because the loo is quite near the side.I really like the way the basin is all part of the whole thing that runs across the wall. That will make cleaning (aarrggghhh spit!) a helluva lot easier.
That was my idea, because the old design fell down on that point. I also wanted one that took the whole width so there was no awful corners for dirt to gather.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. It looks lovely silver. I like the greys a lot. Not how I imagined them, but very nice. I am jealous of the space you have. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

There's nothing half as much fun as messing around in boats.
I am not someone who enjoys leaning out at a 45 degree angle in the Solent, or ducking and weaving and moving from side to side as the boom swings across.
Pottering about in warm shallow water in little dinghies on a sunny day sounds alright.
Alternatively being a guest on something biggish and civilised, ideally with lunch and drinks is OK. Especially if tied alongside.
I had a lovely trip on a London barge I think afew years ago..they had to lift tower bridge so we could go through.
I like that:)0 -

You strike me as the sort of girl for whom one shot is not enoughPasturesNew wrote: »That's a biggun. I'd have not put a radiator in there.... but then I'd not put a radiator in a kitchen, bathroom or loo.... except a towel radiator in a bathroom/shower.

No rad in the bathroom - brrrrr - all our bathrooms have towel rail radiators.
Home late tonight having been a market research guinea pig for the train line - they pay me £50 quid for 90 minutes which I give to DW to make up for being home late...not sure exactly how I benefited from the deal - apart from travelling half way home with Gemma who was anothe Guinea pig.I think....0 -

What a fascinating history and special Class. But no toe straps  Glad to see they allow additional buoyancy though. If you can get to Abersoch in the next couple of weeks I'm sure you could crew on a race, or if no racing be taken round the Islands to see the seals on the Half Tide Rocks... Or to Porth Ceriad or Llanbedrog, depending on wind direction of course!
Sadly won't be able to get there but will think of you all, swooping across seas with spinnakers flying.PasturesNew wrote: »Always a worry for new people to read this .... first question is: if the wind takes you there and you choose where you're going based on wind direction .... once you've got somewhere how do you get back as the wind is probably in the wrong direction nowukmaggie45 wrote: »Tis perfectly possible. The gravel pit where I sailed my little dinghy was shaped like 2 boxes, one smaller one going off the NE corner of the bigger one. I once sailed into the smaller one, with a fairly stiff SW breeze, and then spent about 25 minutes trying to tack back out through the narrow mouth of the smaller box ... didn't try that again on a windy day :eek:0 -

It is at the front of the house, kitchen is at the back, so maybe not. i thought of a boot room because it is near the front door.It looks lovely silver. I like the greys a lot. Not how I imagined them, but very nice. I am jealous of the space you have.
Thank you. The feature wall is formed of tiles that are chopped up and turned bits of the floor tiles. The wall tiles are the same as the floor but in a lighter colour.
I couldn't persuade anyone that glitter grout was the way to go, so the grout is light grey on the walls and dark grey on the floor (to hide the dirt).I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards.
